      I wrecked my shoulders at work. Ever since a single RUclips video that fixed them after 2 weeks of a simple movement, I had the same realization.

    Such a wonderful video, Dave. I just bought a pair of parallettes a few months back. However, only an Olympian can teach us about their benefits, in-depth. Since I am a newly certified personal trainer, this quite inspiring towards understanding different methods of development.

      People are more interested in bullshit talkers who talk shit and no interest in something good to learn.
      A trash talker will have millions of subscribers but a motivational speaker will have way less.

    Hi guys, I've been trying to learn this skill for awhile, when I try to do anything with both legs off the ground I feel the tricep activation but it feels like all the weight is going onto them, and none onto my core; is this because I need to do more compression work? My triceps feel like they're going to explode after 2-3 seconds :(

    • @PowerMonkeyFitness
      @PowerMonkeyFitness  2 года назад

      Thanks for the note. I would play around with different variations. It's great to know where optimal is in terms of triceps activation and correct positioning, but if you are looking to target a specific area, like the core, try some other methods of the l-sit. First, I would try hanging l-sit variations which will allow you to target the compression and remove the triceps activation. This could help focus the area of most need. Additionally, I would try "press hip raise" variations, which will switch the stress from the triceps/rear delt to the ant delt and allow for more compression focus. Lastly, if the triceps are fatiguing that quickly it is possible you can be doing more targeted exercises to get them stronger for this movement. Something like the extended crab rock on the rower would be a great exercise to incorporate as an accessory piece. You can find all of these exercises in our movement library. Hope that helps!

    My L-sit is weak in hold time and a full 90 degree. Does any one know which muscle I am weak in for this or need to strengthen to get a straighter and longer static hold? My max is 7-8 sec on P-bars and ground is 5 seconds. on the ground I have a more 90 degree. P-bars is weaker for me.
