Low temperature transformer above the door, they are special and quite rare.
I just cleaned a split ac condenser last week and it was the most satisfying cleaning i've had in a while. It was bad
Those twist on spade terminals are one of the banes of my existence. One of the things I do professionally is, industrial control, automation, & electrical. I've done that type of work in multiple countries so I've seen allot of different wire termination methods. The first time I saw twist on spade terminals, I was trouble shooting controls in a North American sawmill.... every panel was full of those things. They were as it transpired, most of the problem. With thermal cycling the wire would loosen up and make poor connection causing voltage drop or a hot spot. Sometimes the wire would just fall out if there was enough weight or tension on in. The other thing I didn't like, was, even when they had been cranked on hard enough to really bite into the wire. If it was in unconditioned space with the extremes of day & night temperature swings, moisture would condense on the copper and the spring inside the nut, causing corrosion. Might be marginally faster to terminate than a crimp, but Definitely not as good as a crimp. I replaced allot of stuff in that sawmill with DIN rail mounted components with pressure plate terminal block & proper crimp ferules on all stranded wire. Warms my soul to see those things removed when that new defrost timer went in on your job.
Yeah they cause more trouble then good
to quote the horse off ren and stimpy, "No sir, I don't like it". That screw on connector looks like a good spot for corrosion, and resistance = heat!
Thanks Bill! Good shit!
No more ice cream now!
Stephen Chao they’re all melted!
Great job Bill love your video's
Nice video Bill, I've never seen those fork connector things either.
Good troubleshooting vid Bill ...
Good work bro!
Good job! Look funny in a mask! Stay safe, stay healthy!
Great video
Thank you for your teaching, very instructive, God bless, I’m always learning from your teaching, TKs
Bill those screw on spade connections are usually for speakers and such..not voltage
Nice work on that WIN freezer call , I would recommend on defrost cycles , 4 times a 24 hr period at 30 mins. great work . will be listening on friday !
💪👍❄🇺🇸 great video.
I've got the exact same thermometer , it's old school , bulky and not very practical because of its size , but I find it's durable and reliable , like good old school stuff .
Nice to see someone use it in the field !
Good vid blud , Dr Pimple would be proud 😆
Nice
i usually set up walk in freezers for defrost every 6 hours...3 cycles at 30 min and 1 overnight cycle at 45 min...usually works fine that way
👍👍👍
I want to move to America just to work with you guys. You guys check everything. I've been do refrigeration for over 25 year and know alot of shit but I now have to up my game⚡🔧. Subscribed and like. Do you send free stickers to the UK 🤪👍
Sure thing, just email me your address at curioushvacguy@gmail.com
You know this was coming from someone. I hope not on camera you shut off power and hoses out the fan side of that unit. To get rid of all that dust debris from the components. I just have OCD on stuff like that. Be safe out there and thanks for sharing.
#113 thumbs uP
those are "forking nuts" :))) bah-dum-tis
Freezer won't turn on? Did you try flowers and a nice bottle of wine?
Just to clarify the N terminal on 208 coils is not neutral. There is no neutrals on the coil or condensing units.
Did your Milwaukee flashlight head get hot after about 20min in use? I have a M12 flashlight (similar as yours, but just uses different battery) which sometimes got hot/overheated after about 20min in use. But sometimes it is normal ( not overheated).
Why is the fan coming on if there is a call for defrost?
Loss or gain are visible in the completed circuit while in operation this would help to determine wether components and wiring are sound if not then further testing would be needed. Potential difference.is this how you describe it?
Potential difference is another word for voltage
You even look more curious with the mask on and YAY for the crock virus free van.
How are the riots near you.
