As someone who only had like 4 successful lucid dreams that were actually intended in the past 5 years. I tried yesterday an SSILD. I wasn’t really able to fall asleep quickly, but I eventually did. Then when I fell asleep, I’ve seen that I woke up. But at that time I didn’t watch your video, but that was like 99% a dream😭. Bc me and my parents sleep in the same room, and I stood up to see my parents, they weren’t there and the thing that they used disappeared. Hopefully I will today get lucid again.
I get this a lot. It’s called a false awakening. My cue to know I’m dreaming is that the lights won’t turn on. Sometimes this is followed up by a ‘nightmare’. It’s like some entity has put me in that state and I’m paralysed. But as long as I stay calm, I can regain control and go into a lucid dream.
Bro I was following the steps for this as a joke while watching the video, and I started like half dreaming. I could hear the video playing but I was also lucid dreaming and could control everything, super weird and I chose to woke up like a couple minutes after the video ended

Sleep paralysis is not something to fear. Trying to lucid dream won't really increase your chances of sleep paralysis, and if you somehow get it (such a low chance), you can struggle out of it (like most people), or quickly let it happen and you soon be asleep in a lucid dream :). Thanku for the comment.
@@ludotym8302that’s a relief because I get sleep paralysis almost every night, and it scares me most of the time so I will myself out of it before anything happens.

thanks for the vid brother, I'll try this technique tonight, i've been trying to lucid dream a few months now but been inconsistent. just one question, how many minutes should i stay awake before doing the cycles?
It'll depend on how easily you wake up, this will be different for everyone. If you're really sleepy and sleep easily, maybe a couple of minutes awake, but if you wake too easily, just start doing it as soon as you wake imo! You'll find what works for you, lmk how it goes bro

You may need to wake yourself up more in the wake-back-to-bed. Falling asleep during the cycles is actually good, but a few more than 2 would make it more effective, and if you can fall asleep that quickly it’s probably to your advantage. Try waking up a tiny bit more.
@@Gerzsilah You actually should just watch the video because it is a lot of information, but I made this if you really don't want to: Check the time right before you sleep, and tell yourself in your head as if you wanted to remember something (5 times at least), that you want to wake up 5 hours past whatever the time is. Then check the time so you know your brain woke you up at the right time, and lay in bed for around 5 to 10 minutes without falling asleep. Using the bathroom is fine, just go directly back to your bed when you are done. Then start cycles, which make you more aware of your dreams, but keep your eyes closed the whole time while doing them. A cycle is looking into the darkness of your eyelids (sight), then focusing on a sound like your fan, but you could also focus on the silence (hearing), and then focusing on feeling things like your bed or the temperature (touch). After your 5 mintues of being awake, do 5 cycles, and focus on each sense for 5 seconds. Right after that, do 3 cycles, but focus on each sense for 30 seconds. Necessary extra tips: Make sure you are not focusing hard, but just kind of bringing your attention your senses and relaxing. You should be relaxed enough to fall asleep while doing them, but if not, just go fall asleep after you are done however you want, whatever is comfortable for you at the time. You also can move however you like while you are doing the cycles because pushing away annoying thoughts and feelings will cause so much more pain then letting them in and giving into them (personally, I rage quit trying to clear my mind). Also, estimate the amount of time you take experiencing each sense, because focusing on the time is distracting from the sense. You don't need to do EXACTLY 5 seconds or 30 seconds. Finally, don't worry about how awake you should be in the middle of the night, move with however much energy you feel like during those 10 minutes.
