This is what many brazilians don’t understand yet: poverty problems in foreigns eyes become nothing else than a big joke or lack of understanding. Anitta wrote a lyric in english to a brazilian audience. Because only brazilians will be able to understand what she is trying to mean. Like we saw in this video. Because for decades, this is what media have shown to the world, only the rich and perfect side of Rio. Anitta is showing the real Rio, the 90% of the Rio, the real people. People who have a nornal body, normal faces, the places where they used to go, what they used to do. She js showing how she grew up, the favelas, the poor people who is happy even when dealing with problem like poverty, they still happy and proud of where they came from.
