The thing I like abiut Hermit is that upon losing to him he doesnt mock Shadow for having a skill issue like other demons, but instead tells him to practice more for their rematch. Truly a grreat teacher.

The soundtrack really matches Hermit imo. The peaceful and smooth instrumental turning into a rock song is basically Hermit himself. He's just silent, peaceful but is secretly deadly. His fighting style is just so smooth, but can get dirty once things start to get out of hand. In short, Hermit is basically just like a hermit crab, can be friendly but a damn nightmare once annoyed

I like to think hermit isn't actually the demons shadow has to kill but instead somewhat of a local legend that shadow and his sensei visit to pay their respects to and learn some useful things that'll aid them in their journey (hence why magic becomes available after hermit is defeated)
