I agree and without Russell saving Parvati she wouldn't have made it to the end and the only reason Sandra made it to the end with him was because Russell thought she was a non threat and the jury would see she didn't deserve to win. I thought he was right and the jury robbed him.
The Rob and Lex move was rough, but I actually thought it was poetic justice.. Lex had had the exact conversation with Ethan earlier in AS1. It seemed harsher because of how much further along the game was, but Lex and Ethan were good friends that played together before. IDK, I kinda enjoyed seeing Lex get the same thing back.
The difference was Lex changed his game play to do Rob a personal favour and Rob stabbed him in the back immediately afterwards. Lex thought he could have won the whole thing, and he probably could have.

Abi was a horrible person in both of her seasons. She couldnt hide it to save her life. Remember how she was laughing when Joe Anglim fainted during the challenge? Clearly she had issues.
@@fim1968 She is a psychopath imho, laughing at someone when something bad happens to a person (like falling, slipping on the street, etc) is a tell tale sign of pyschopath. I have watched a YT video before can't seem to find it, but the psychologist said those are tell tale signs of a psychopath.
Honorable mentions? I’d have Dreamz after he took the truck from Yau Man then didn’t give him immunity.. and Scot for dumping water on the fire and being an overall poor sport
He didn’t even keep the truck. He couldn’t pay the taxes on it as the tax was due before the prize money for his finish was awarded so the truck got repo’d.
Good list but Ciera's move was totally strategic and non-malicious and she had talked about it with her mom a lot, so I wouldn't count her as a villain (and her next games confirm that impression).
I still wouldn't vote out my mother. The other players will understand I cannot do so. That move put everyone else on notice that ciera was dangerous and may have cost her the game
Ciera's move was not strategic in practice though. Her mom was going home no matter what, and Tyson was fully prepared to spare her the ordeal of voting for her mom. She could have thrown a vote at Tyson and he wouldn't have minded under the circumstances. It did very little to solidify her position in Tyson's alliance.

I agree with everything EXCEPT Ciera! There was no bad intention behind that whatsoever and her mother was all for it. Not to mention the fact that Ciera is one of the nicest people in the history of Survivor. She doesn't hold grudges and has a heart full of love. You need to interview Ciera. She's an awesome person.

I think Cierra being on the list is kinda a gimmick type thing where like “ ooo she voted out her own mom! There's nothing good about ciera. She's nowhere close to the fakeness of dawn/Parvati but she's social plastic. I feel bad for the world that she has children.

I thought that was an amazing moment. As cruel as it may seem it really wasn't because that was the only way Brenda could get Dawn to understand exactly how she felt when Dawn stabbed her in the back. It was frickin' epic.

But i just don’t understand why Dreamz thought he had chance to win when just day before he alienated whole tribe against him. Was counsel members supposed to vote for him because they pitied him? Game wise it wasn’t even smart decision.

I thought that the first time I watched it too. However, in retrospect, I see it as Yau Man using the fact that Dreamz was unwealthy to his advantage. Yau probably wouldn't have tried this with any other member of the cast and I think it was a dirty move.

I've argued for years saying you're not an "evil" villain. You do what need to be done and say what needs to be said. did pretty much everything right except sealing the votes. I'm a Russell Hantz fan for sure and hope to see you play again. Heroes VS Villains is still my favorite season by far!!

also a lesser known player i think is a true villain is Scott from Koah Rong. He was just a really rude and mean person in general. He didn’t bother to learn some of the names of people from his tribe, poured water on the tribes fire multiple times out of anger, and hid the machetes and other tools at of anger.
Robs move was strategic just like any move you did. There was no benefit to going against his alliance at this point. Good list though you should do Top 10 strategic villains!
Voting Lex out costed him the win. But keeping Lex in would have made it more difficult for Rob to make the final, so who knows? All Stars is my favorite season of all time.
Kenneth Reichelt if he betrays his alliance I don’t think he makes it to the finals to be honest. Yeah it’s a good season but I think it got the wrong winner.

In practice, what makes Rob voting out Lex at the merge in return for saving Amber different from you voting out JT at the merge in return for him giving you his idol? Actually curious Also I’m pretty sure I read a post from Varner saying that he’s done with survivor because of the subsequent trauma he experienced after that incident with him outing Zeke.
LOL seriously? For one, Russell was a complete unknown to the other players at that time (his previous season hadn't even aired yet). He had never met J.T., they had no relationship, and JT's "strategy" was completely misguided. On the other hand, Rob and Lex had been friends outside the show for several years, and Rob called in a special favor, using their friendship as collateral. COMPLETELY different situation.

Oh, Russell. I've been binging your videos lately, and I love them! I'm a fan of Survivor since season 1, and of course I stan your idol finds, and your gameplay. I understand why you didn't win, although I thought you should have in one season. ;) I'm gonna be honest, watching your vids - I like you a whole lot more. These are great! I've really enjoyed watching! Even though everyone says that you're one of the top villains of all time I feel that it was very strategic on how you played the game!

Russell, I absolutely love your channel. I'm currently watching both Survivor Samoa and Heroes VS Villains. You are one of the GOATS in Survivor History. You should definitely be on a legends season.

also a lesser known player i think is a true villain is Scott from Koah Rong. He was just a really rude and mean person in general. He didn’t bother to learn some of the names of people from his tribe, poured water on the tribes fire multiple times out of anger, and hid the machetes and other tools at of anger.
Pre-game alliances is a really interesting concept lol. I wonder how frequently those happen...
Robs move was strategic just like any move you did. There was no benefit to going against his alliance at this point. Good list though you should do Top 10 strategic villains!
Voting Lex out costed him the win. But keeping Lex in would have made it more difficult for Rob to make the final, so who knows? All Stars is my favorite season of all time.
Kenneth Reichelt if he betrays his alliance I don’t think he makes it to the finals to be honest. Yeah it’s a good season but I think it got the wrong winner.
This has the same production value as my 9th grade Romeo and juliet video presentation and I love it

I want to hear your take on this. In practice, what makes Rob voting out Lex at the merge in return for saving Amber different from you voting out JT at the merge in return for him giving you his idol? Actually curious
Also I’m pretty sure I read a post from Varner saying that he’s done with survivor because of the subsequent trauma he experienced after that incident with him outing Zeke.

LOL seriously? For one, Russell was a complete unknown to the other players at that time (his previous season hadn't even aired yet). He had never met J.T., they had no relationship, and JT's "strategy" was completely misguided.
On the other hand, Rob and Lex had been friends outside the show for several years, and Rob called in a special favor, using their friendship as collateral.

Love your videos Russell! It’s clear you’re working really hard on your content. Looking forward to the cooking videos with your Mum (I’m a fan from New Zealand and we spell ‘Mom’ differently here haha). You mentioned in another video that you’ve worked on yourself and changed a lot since you’ve played Survivor. If you’re ever doing a Q&A I would be keen to know whether you regret doing survivor or not.
This is a great list, Russell. I am surprised that Varner made that far to the top over Jay, Lex, Sue, or Boston Rob.

#1) Dan Spilo from Survivor: Island of The Idols.
#2) Jeff Varner from Survivor: Game Changers.
#3) Abi-Maria Gomes from Survivor: Philippines and Survivor: Cambodia.
#4) Sophie Clarke from Survivor: South Pacific and Survivor: Winners At War.
