The way Zea immediately encourages / praises the JP livers, she's really so sweet.
Best part is Rion said 'What kind movie do you like?', then Zea added the 'of' back and then Hana added the 's' in movies back and completely restored the sentence.

@@meu9054 because the original line was "how long do you plan to be in Japan" then Hana for some reason said "how long do you plan to stay in Japan" which meant the same thing but being a bit different to the original triggered my OCD a bit
Sometimes this kind of thing is force of habit/familiarity.
Just like some say "at the weekend" while others go "on the weekend" or "this weekend".
Maybe she's growing up using "to stay" than "to be".
The fluency thingy is at that part where she put the missing S back to movies.
To be fair, "of" vs "off" is certainly difficult for people who don't speak English as their first language. Especially if it's hearing the word and not reading it...
as someone who had english as a second language, how I got through that was context, but damn it did it take a while before it was intuitive
@@eruphin3601 Yup context helps a lot, but grammar too, since " of " is a connector between words ; knowing that the distinctions was almost instant for me, and also resemble the structure of my first language which is French

Were two sentences that I vividly remember to have driven me insane when I learned English.
I just love how they constantly push the niji olympic medals (bronze, silver, gold) in mind bending challenges like this. Really improves not only the relations but also their iqs to higher charts
Yeah. I wish we had more of those streams translated. The clips I've watched of them are very fun. But it's hard to truly enjoy the streams when I don't speak japanese.

It was in dialect(Kansai?) instead of standard Japanese which make it even funnier.

Man Gwelu did a great job organizing this in such a way as to have the people who are good at english and bad at english positioned just right so as to make it both easy to keep coherance as well as make it interesting once the sentence reaches the end.

Well I think the point is not having those fluent with Japanese and English to be the last since they are the one who will translate it. They also alternate it from Fluent to not fluent and then fluent to see whether the message will alter or change.
