Hey there! I totally agree with you on the importance of staying powered during hurricane season. The Jackery Solar Generator 3000 Pro seems like a great option. However, if you're looking for another reliable choice, I highly recommend checking out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It has a massive capacity, fast recharging, and comprehensive protections. Plus, it's built with waterproof technology, making it perfect for outdoor adventures. Definitely worth considering!

Does the solar collect light on a cloudy day? Or does it have to be sunny out? Winter 🥶 is coming. I’m preparing for the worst, power outage and I want to make sure the solar panels don’t need excess sun.
You know, while I am not a fan of these types of videos since it just sounds like you’re trying to help sell their products, I cannot argue it’s interesting to see how you use them in the future in builds. Nothing against you or you making money, I just prefer the builds. Still awaiting the day we get the “Cursing in the woods with Kevin” video you keep teasing with every build.
Wow, im pretty impressed it could run the table saw and grinder that easily. Seems like it would be a great piece to have while initially getting a cabin built and set up. Or as supplement to a gas generator. On these bigger units, I wonder if it would be possible for them to incorporate a small solar panel built into the top of it? So it always has some power input if its outside
Great video. Thanks. After seeing scores of videos on solar generators I have yet to see one that tests the ability to run a vacuum cleaner. We use a Shark vacuum & used to run Kirbys. My Geeno 1500GT will not allow my Shark to run as it should. Be the first to test a solar generator with real world applications that will be very important to cleaning our carpeted homes when the grid goes down. This will impress wives everywhere.
How much solar input can it take? My experience with Jackery is that I can only use the Jackery solar panels to change it. The cables aren't interchangeable with standard solar connectors. Other than that, I do use the little Jackery batteries for travel and outdoor activities. Fun review! Tea, coffee, power tools.
Great Review!! I am in the market for solar power station. I your opinion, which one would you recommend me getting? Between Bluetti, Jackery and Ecoflow.?.? Asking for a friend!
Hi! I have this. Jackery 3000. And it works Great! You can get a powerbox and plug- in and D 14:50 ecide what fuse box switches you want to use most and have an electrition hook it up! It was $200 extra for the switch & box but we'll worth it. When the lights go out, in seconds it switches to the quackery. Of course I chose to use all kitchen appliances. Lights, 1tv and WiFi. I have 2 1000 watt generators for bedrooms tv's, phones, fans,. This way your not running so many extension chords! But I was really torn about getting that EcoFlow system I think it may have a little more power and you can also hook it up with the switch if you decide to. Keep your solar panels plugged in so the jackery has pass through charging while you're using it. So you never run out of power. I read the comments on both units and what helped my decision was Eco flow had way too many customer service issues that they say they can't get help resolving. So I went with Jackery!! Lotta Folks using them Eco flows though working just Fine! God Bless !! And You'll Be fine with Either one!!
Just recently, July 25, 2024, received my Jackery 3000 Pro battery or power station. Waiting for the two 200W solar panels to arrive. I'm trying to find out how to connect with my four OUPES 240W solar panels ... what adapters or connectors I need.
Hello Kevin am new to this jackery generator but here is a question , I have bought a 1100w crock pot from sauge , the 3000w jackery generator is expensive for me , which alternative can I use and which solar panel can I connect it to ?.Am in urgent need of something for my mum to use her sage crock pot. Thanks.
Thank you for the fantastic video about the J 3000 P. Quick question: I just bought mine, and I have a question: Does the Main Power Button, which is green, stay on all the time?
Thanks for sharing your review. If you have loud things you're testing, how about reducing the video sound and narrating that part of the video? *I* think it's much better than yelling to try to get your point across.
It may run a table saw and grinder now, but give it a few months of exposure to high inductance loads and its built-in, low cost (cheap) high frequency inverter will probably become a brick. The reason for this is that all these high frequency, transformerless solar generators lack a very critical component. That critical component is an iron core, copper wound output transformer. Without an output transformer to act as a buffer to absorb electrical surges provided by the “Flywheel Effect” inherent in the physical amount of a transformer’s iron, these surges and damaging reverse voltage spikes must be handled directly by the inverter’s MOSFET transistors, essentially shortening their life. You might be able to start and run some high surge loads when these solar generators are new, but every time you fire up that inductive load, you're shortening the life of the MOSFETs in your solar generator's inverter. They also run much hotter than low frequency, transformer-based inverters which makes the low cost, off spec, Chinese made components such as capacitors, diodes, resistors and ICs that are used in these cheap inverters, far more prone to early failure. Another major consideration with these high frequency, transformer free solar generators is safety. All it takes is for one of their MOSFETs or IGBTs to short to ground or the control circuitry to fail, and these units will send dangerous, high voltage, high amperage DC current straight to your connected AC loads which will not only damage most AC appliances but can also set those AC appliances on fire. A far better alternative is to invest a little more money and purchase a hybrid, low frequency, transformer based inverter charger and assemble your own high quality solar generator. Low frequency transformer based inverters last years and years longer than these dangerous solar generators and can easily power high surge loads without being damaged. That's why the big name brand inverter manufacturers like Schneider Electric, Outback Power, Vicron and others, all use a low frequency topology in their offerings. I know this to be true because I've spent the last 23 years repairing inverters. High frequency solar generators/inverters simply don't last when powering inductive loads.
So what high inductance loads would I realistically need to worry about? I don't really think using a table saw is the most important use of a generator in a blackout or other emergency.
While simultaneously running several critical household resistive and inductive loads like a dryer, oven and stovetop.and and your refrigerator's compressor and this inverter's weak 200% surge capacity would be exceeded and this inverter would shut down. @@DraconisMarchVII
