The Nicas are amazing people too!! I absolutely LOVE the color and style of the buildings, the heavy wooden doors, and the brick roads!! Amazing!! Thanks for another great walk through !!!
Nicaragua is a big farm country not yet spoiled by tourism. Been there with my dad, when I was 8 years old. Hope to go there now that I'm grown and enjoy "The Farm-Land."
@@TheDufresnes My buddy and I rented motos and did both islands in a fun day of riding. If I remember correctly it was like a 50 mile giant figure 8 ride. We stopped and started along the way taking breaks and stuff. It was fun and a great way to see a lot of the place.
Such a magical place. 2:04 - The Mexican place is called El Picante and owned by a cool guy who makes good food and drinks. 2:25 - The sign and wooden deck belong to Casa Mami and is a great place to eat breakfast. Sweet staff and rooms too. 5:34 - go left here to Hospedaje Siero and Krisdalia. 6:09 - The yellow sign on the right of screen is the menu to get good Chinese food from a nice family. Love it. 7:29 - This is another popular spot to eat. They have a large menu with many good options. Also run by nice people. 9:35 - The place behind the wooden fence on the right is another decent spot for local food. 10:09 - Comedor Alma is on the left. This place is awesome. Authentic food made by loving ladies that I always enjoy. Love this place. 18:42 - The blue place on the right is a cool bar off the beaten path. 18:47 - Sitting here while enjoying cold beers and watching the sun go down is not bad. 22:00 - The noise you hear is the pink place on the left that grinds nut shells and stuff. Go left here and you hit Siero and Krisdalia. 22:16 - The upstairs white arch on the left of frame belongs to Hospedaje Siero. 23:00 - The white poles on the right on the corner belong to a good restaurant that is one of the few that is open fairly late. Instead of walking you can always rent a moto for not much. I recommend Green Expedition. All rental spots are roughly similar pricing but Green Expedition are really nice folks, fair and have an excellent reputation. "Enjoy your stay." the Dude of Food

Vayan a vivir a Ometepe!
How long of a trip was it ? From Ocotal it should be 3 or so hours less, eh ?
3.5 hours but you may have to wait for the ferry depending on when you arrive to the pier. We took the 130 ferry
Have to consider that for a trip. How long did you go for ?
4 days
Spent 4 days and didn't really want to leave. Trippy to feel like a tranquil beach town without waves.
Is there no more civil war
Hasn't been since 2019. There are still some protests here and there in Managua but that's it
Which doesn't effect tourism there. The welcoming locals love having us
Good for you I was there way back 2018 civil unrest ,no one on the street I didn’t enjoy my vacay
Vivimos en paz gracias a Dios los Nicaragüenses amamos la paz
