I understand your obsession for perfection. I am myself a perfectionist, yet, lately I've been also learning that what really matters is creativity and what you do with the tools you have available. When a music concept is able to "deliver" emotions then it achieved its goal and nothing else matters. So, don't be so modest or critic about your art because your music is very able to deliver "emotions" and your "creations /creativity" works very well. Congratulations. Stay safe.
Thank you so much Tom, I really love your music and appreciate you taking the time to break it down to help other people trying to create this kind of sound!
Hey, thank you for your music, I am so glad I came across your channel! I love your humbleness, although you are a very good producer and composer, your results are great! And again: Thank you for sharing your productions! Would it by any chance be possible to get the notes that you played on the cello, maybe from the midi data? I am quite intrigued by the texture/chord voicing you greated!
Fascinating to gain a bit of insight. Despite what you say about not liking vocals, cellos when isolated, it seems like the song is larger than the sum of it's parts as it all comes together to create the desired effect. I enjoy it at any rate =)
Hey Tom, i was curious if youll be covering Owl Citys new album, Coco Moon? You did such a great job breaking down the terrible Cinematic album, Id love to see your thoughts on this new one. I think its only a fraction bit better but still very generic and overall terrible.
Very clever, and inspiring. I like what you said about using instruments you don't know well. You have really made it work well for you in this situation. Regarding the voices and atmospheric sounds, did you route them through a different, bigger reverb? Thanks for a great walkthrough.
