Scentsy Warmer Tour + Tips on Picking out a Good Performing Scentsy Warmer

  • I’ve had a few people request a warmer tour...so here it is. My family was finally gone so I had to seize the opportunity to film. It was a dreary day outside and a bit dark, but on the positive side of things seeing this tour might help you get an idea of some of the warmers I use in my home, especially with relation to my Tester Tuesday videos. I have other warmers not out at the moment but this is a snapshot of what’s going currently. I talk about some features of each warmer that I may like or dislike.
    The latter half of the video is more of an overall discussion about the main types of warmers Scentsy offers and some differences between bulb warmers of various types and element (hot plate) warmers. I discuss some features that may help you pick out a good performing Scentsy warmer, depending on your needs/desires.
    Start of warmer tour time stamp @1:16
    If you want to skip to the discussion portion of the video here is the time stamp. @20:33
    It’s easy to talk about this kind of thing but still forget to mention certain points so if you have any questions for me ....please comment below.
    Here is the link to my video on 6 ways to remove wax from warmer dishes... • How to Change Wax From...
    Fyi - In general I use 1-2 cubes in each warmer.
    In my open area I actually use 4 cubes divided amongst 3 warmers, and I change my open layout wax on average 1-2 days and other areas every 2-3 days, depending on the scent. I usually change out my wax when it’s hard to smell in the room, which sometimes means the wax will still have some scent left in it but it’s failing to get to the level where it’s adequately scenting the room.

    I still wish they’d just put the wattage in the warmer description! And scent notes on the wax bars. Come on, Scentsy!

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  3 года назад +3

      Yes, me too. It’s odd that they added the wattages for bulb warmers but not element warmers. My only thought is that info would help people looking for a replacement bulb for specific warmers, which obviously is not needed for element warmers.

      Patricia G •Nose to Toes• ah, good point. But for me it would persuade me to buy a warmer if I saw it was 12 watts and probably stop me from buying one if it was less than that. Thankfully scentsy you tubers post videos and tell me the watts! 😉

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  3 года назад +1

      Yes and consultants could always contact support on behalf of their customers to find out wattages for element warmers they are considering buying. (If that happened enough maybe they would add in that info!)

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  3 года назад

      Yes you would be better off buying hot plates from a different company, or there are lots of good ceramic 25w bulb warmers that do well with most vendor wax. Typically the softer the vendor wax the better it will do in Scentsy’s warmers.

And you are totally right in one thing: 2 cubes inside my Zen Rock Element warmer aren't performing as well as 1 Cube is doing well in my Etched Core mini warmer 15 W ceramic.... Excellent video! Thank you so much for sharing and explaining the different kinds of warmers. Is there any way to encourage Scentsy to include the wattage of element warmers in the description, perhaps someone to email? I haven't bought any element warmers for this reason. Thanks again for this video! ~Christine

      It’s fairly good. I haven’t noticed it better or worse than other ceramic warmers. I love the large dish so that helps heat up a large surface area of wax but the warmer is also wider than the Etched Core so that might be a negative in terms of heat retention if comparing the two.

      @@PatriciaG-NosetoToes Thank you ~ I ended up just getting both. Etched core is *slightly* better, but Free to Fly is so pretty that it makes up for it and I just use it in a smaller room. Another good performer is Stone Leaf. Thanks, again!

    Are you familiar with the Prairie Pitcher warmer? I just got it this week for my kitchen and it gets VERY hot. It's definitely the hottest warmer from Scentsy I've ever had. I'm thinking since it gets so hot, it'll cause my scent to dissipate quicker right?

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  Год назад +1

      I don’t have a freezer method video. Basically once your warmer is off and the wax and dish are room temperature you put the dish in the freezer. Depending on wax type it can take as little as 10 minutes or up to an hour (can leave overnight for convenience sake) to contract slightly. Then if you turn the dish upside down or put a twist type of pressure on the wax disc, it then pops out.
      Hope that helps!

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  3 года назад +1

      It’s only an 8w so very gentle heat and a light throw. Would be good as an adjunctive warmer for layering scents or if you find scents too strong it might help dampen them but I would consider it primarily a looks warmer. Would be fine if you have other warmers in the same area to carry the workload.
      Personally I don’t buy 8w warmers.

    I recently got into scentsy and bought a licensed star wars R2D2 unit. Absoluteley love it, quality etc. After that they released a mandolarian themed wax warmer so I immediately purchased it. Unlike my first unit i was thoroughly disappointed. Unlike my originaly unit which was a sealed all in one unit, this one was merely a light bulb stand where u placed the warmer on top of it. to turn the unit on or off you have to pick the whole unit up and remove it to get to the switch. why cant all the units be all in one? funny thing is i paid half the price for the all in one unit than i diud for the lightbulb with a unit that sits on top of it.

      Maybe reach out to your consultant and discuss if it’s been within 30 days of purchase. They might be able to arrange an exchange for another warmer with scentsy if you’re dissatisfied- but in that case you usually have to pay to ship back.

    Not even half an hour later and I'm baaaaaAck lol. Any insight on any of these mini warmers (gatsby, wildlife and aspen) ? The only mini warmer I have right now is the vintage glass one and it's pretty enough but it's also obnoxiously heavy. Hoping you've had at least one of these pass through your hands and can tell it's lighter? I'm thinking aspen is probably the lightest of the three 🤔 I'm also picking up the opulance warmer and I think they'll look nice together. Then again I have the full sized wild life warmer so how could I not get that one?? Ahhhh the struggle is real tonight...please haaaaalp

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  3 года назад

      The glass ones are pretty heavy, especially the shape,of the Wildlife one. The Aspen would not be very heavy but sadly those 3 you mentioned I don’t think will be strong performers. The Aspen is a toss up as I’ve never tried the metal and carbonate (or whatever the core is made of) but I have heard a few issues with performance in the Wire You Blushing warmer.
      Depends if you want the warmers for brightness, looks (lighter throw with the glass) or a bit stronger in performance with the watm glow,of ceramic.

    So my apple and cinnamon sticks fragrance flower dried up in 7 days. No joke. Like there is no oil at all!! It is NOT altered in anyway what so ever. What can Scentsy do because each consultant I’ve talked to is not responding to me at all. I’m nervous to buy any other scents in the bell design now... Can you point me into the right direction? Thanks so much!!

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  3 года назад

      Talk to your consultant and get them to call consultant/ customer support.
      If they won’t then you can call Scentsy yourself but they should go to bat for you. The flowers will soak up a lot of oil in the first few days but never the whole amount that fast. Is it close to anything that the oil might be filtering through the flower and onto that item?
      I’m not crazy about that flower in performance as it’s a weaker one IMO. Scentsy should get you a replacement one though. It’s usually an easy process once you call them and your consultant should have no problems calling and doing that for you.

      A great full size one is Etched Core (not silver, rose gold I’ve etc) just the plain white ceramic)
