I think it's so awesome that you are rescuing these castaways. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these things. I'm so amazed that these things are being thrown out. I wonder why the store employees don't just donate it to Goodwill or something.

I just never understand why you take broken stuff. I know you can use the plants but you take so much broken furniture and what if you or your kids are sitting on the bar stool and it snaps? I am a fellow diver and I mean you do you but I notice you take quite a bit of broken items. And soup isn’t just foundation and it is full of bacteria and crap and other perfumes and lotions some which people could be allergic too. So please please be careful. I am in Canada and we get souped items too and I won’t touch them. Not worth it. It’s because so many people are diving now and I literally asked a cosmetic worker about it and why they do it and it is to protect us from stuff like COVID which does not go away with rubbing alcohol. I hope to GOD you are letting people know before or if you sell or give it away

Thanks for ur concern but it’s really simple to repair broken furniture. Me and my husband like to refurbish items and use them or give them to others who could use them. Dumpster diving for me is saving items that can be reused in some way. I hate unnecessary waste just because a item is tore or damaged. Instead of contributing to the already filled dumps. As for soup and items from Ulta Im very cautious about what I keep and actually use. I’ve been diving for many years now. Everyone’s different, you do what you are comfortable with. Happy diving!
