I go to Iceland this year too. My mummy will have her 50th birthday in autumn and I bought for her and me a trip to Iceland. We are flying in 14 days after her birthday party. She knows that she and me will fly somewhere but she doesn't know country yet. It's a surprise! I know she will be very happy! :)
ASPYN!! you probably got out of breath a lot quicker because the air density is different in different altitudes! it's insanely easy to get out of breath, especially while running or doing other physical activities if you're not used to the different air, so don't beat yourself up so much, you're probably still in shape :)

Next time you are here in Europe, you should try out Couchsurfing. I don't know if you have it in the US, but basically it's a platform where you can find people from all around who put up a room or a bed for others. So it's like you are staying basically for free and they show you around. You get to see places as a local. It's really cool :) I've had last year a girl from Germany who stood with me for a couple of days :) And she was on a bike all the way from Germany, to France, Poland, Ucraine, Romania (where I am from-really nice country), and she wanted to go to Italy as well :)
Seeing the Northern Lights is something I've been wanting to do for years. It looks so cool.
When that Icelandic rap was playing it reminded me of the scene from The Fault in Our Stars where Hazel and Augustus went to that authors house and he started playing that Swedish hip hop😂😂
