I need to rewatch that movie! My home is, apparently, very “Nancy Myers”😄 I never even knew who Nancy Meyers was until about a year ago when she started being referenced by design shows on the internet.
It's amazing how Nancy Meyers has influenced modern interior design, isn't it? Her aesthetic has really become a recognizable style! How fun that your home naturally fits her signature look - you must have great taste! 😄 And yes, definitely rewatch the movie - it's perfect for getting cozy interior inspiration! ❤
Thanks for the soundtrack by French composer Erik Sate which is used often in movies. I've studied interior design at the New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan and have seen this wonderful heartwarming film a few times. Some of these interiors aren't the ones from the film as Rosehill Cottage wasn't as big and didn't have large picture windows. I live in an English styled cottage here in the states with cross beams in the ceiling, large small paned picture windows, knotty pine walls and a huge brick fireplace in the living room and wood burning stove in the dining/kitchen area. So my decorating is similar and I have lots of books. I'm a retired former NYC fashion illustrator and floral designer and of mostly British ancestry so English country decorating and American country decorating is right up my alley! Thanks again for sharing pics and tips. Happy Holidays~♥🏡"Home is where the heart is'....ancient Roman saying!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful background and personal connection to English cottage design! Your own home sounds absolutely beautiful, especially those cross beams and brick fireplace. I'm honored to receive feedback from someone with your expertise in interior design. You're right about Erik Satie's music - it's quite iconic in films. Thank you for the detailed insights about the original Rosehill Cottage too. Happy Holidays to you as well! ❤
I appreciate your feedback about the music! I'll definitely keep that in mind for future videos and try to choose something that better matches the cozy, uplifting cottage atmosphere. ❤
It's hard to mess up a room with beautiful windows and a fireplace.
Thank you! You're right - large windows and a fireplace create such a naturally beautiful foundation for any room. ❤
Absolutely loved the movie and the look
Thank you so much! Really happy you enjoyed both the movie and its visual style. ❤
