never heard of him nice interview , very good sax player jaleel shaw is i like his style sound and energy too,i play alto saxophone too i'm only a beginner never played an instrument before i started taking lessons in late march right now i'm learning how to play eighth note jam skip to my lou songs like that jay i enjoy your videos very much thank you and keep up the good work!

I'm certain that Dave's bridge comes off if he loosens the strings. Perhaps he doesn't take it off, but it will only be held in place by string tension as is normal.
It's a trade off. Do you loosen the strings and risk dropping the sound post? I'd want to be skilled at resetting the post, as well as be sure I'd have time at the other end to set up and retune from scratch.
