    You are the only RUclips channel host who mentioned that this lens only hits f/6.7 at 480mm. This is very good to know! Thanks!

      Ha! Thanks a lot. It doesn't make a big difference but it is just slightly brighter. Cheers!

    After watching so many videos on this lens, I feel you were the only one who showed it indoors during a sporting event, which is exactly what I also need it for. My main focus is going to be outdoor & indoor soccer, track & field, and gymnastics. I know someone is going to say it, "I need an f/2.8" but shooting multiple events on a budget, I'll knicks that idea for now. I used to shoot these events with an APS-C DSLR and had no issues bumping up my ISO. Lightroom helps correct that, so I'm not worried about it. The information you provided was very helpful, thank you for a great review of this lens. I also now shoot with the Sonly A7III. Glad to see a review with the camera I also shoot with.

      Hey, thanks a lot. It is not a dedicated indoor lens, but it can be used as such. Especially if the budget is tight. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

    Great Demo. Actually, it helped me to decide for purchasing the Lens. So far it behaves as you described and I am super pleased with the results. I have gotten good reviews of the photos I have taken with it even when shooting hand held. I found for the most part that option 3 for the image stabalization worked the best for me. I will also try option 2 for panning. Cheers!😁

    Nice review!
    You forgot to mention one good advantage of this lens, that is macro capabilities, it has great magnification and working distance to get nice shots of skittish tiny critters.

    Nice 'real world' review. I have just bought this lens and agree on the IQ. I did not know about the SS to zoom range recommendation, I will try at 1/500 ss at full reach.

    Good Review. I grabbed one today for 790€ almost mint. You can find it during sales for less than a 1000 now in France :)
    @09:39: you mean should be "at least" equivalent to focal length :)

      Hello and thank you. You got a good deal ;) and yes at least equivalent to the focal length Cheers!

    I think the Tamron is one of the lightest telephoto lenses available for Sony E Mount. So, it’s not a “heavy lens.”

      Ha! Yes I've used heavier lenses and this one is very welcome in my camera bag.
      Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

    The menu on a7 needs a gold medal. Their app needs antimatter medal.

    It's a great lens but doesn't stay fix on nikon z mount and the zoom ring is rigid. That's the only problems that he has

    In this video I see a ton (extreme) color fringing ... is that reality for the lens or just an artifact of the RUclips video?

    • @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens
      @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens  Год назад

      Hello! Can you give me a time stamp where in the video you notice this because the lens has practically zero fringing issues. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

    • @PatrickWithCamera
      @PatrickWithCamera Год назад +1

      My copy of 150-500 have almost no fringing, even in difficult harsh scenerio, and I use it on a6700, if there was fringing, then aps-c would show it even more than on full frame. I get more fringing on my sony 200-600 and 70-350 than on tamron.

      Hi! Thanks for sharing. I also don't notice any fringing. I'm really happy with this. It is an amazing lens. Cheers!

    Reality good and helpful Review many thanks.
    Im in the same Situation, cause i was thinking about to get the Sigma 100-400 DG DN or the Tamron 150-500.
    Which has the better image quality? And would you change your decision or will you stay with the Tamron?

      @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens  2 года назад

      Hello. I think Sigma might be a little sharper corner to corner but I don't really notice it on 24MP. I would still go with the Tamron. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
