* They learn from the mistakes and failures. Do something about failure. Don't leave it and don't oversolve the problem as well. * They are excellent communicator. * Care deeply about the culture before hiring anyone in the team. * They are fanatical about their company
Dear Mr Fox, I agree with your analysis and I think that there is one trait missing: being able to get the money from investors. In the US it seems easier to get funds, but in Italy, where I live, it is much more difficult and most US investors do not want to invest outside North America
You're right, Sergio. Most US investors do want to invest only in the US. In today's world, your first investors are likely to be you, your friends, and your family. Then, as your company progresses, angel investors. These investors will likely be from Italy in your case. It's hard. I know it is. Get in the habit of asking everyone you meet if they know anyone that might be interested in investing in your company. Keep at it and best of luck!
That's great Brett. Many thanks. Far more eloquent the the way I would have tried to answer that question. I've known for some time I can get a bit complex in my communications. Must fix it - esp. with recent design graduates, some of whom got their degrees without being able to read - somehow.
The company I worked for 3 years ago just went bankrupt this year (I was able to quit last year). Had the CEO listened to me, instead of the "jerks", they would still be standing. I was never a "talent" because I was doing admin work in a branch office. In February 2020 when the pandemic started, I foresaw the supply chain shortages, high shipping costs, etc. I suggested getting extra credit for massive buying and stockpiling while the prices were still low. CEO was hesitant, upper management jerks said I knew nothing. LOL.
If I can make a comment to help your message grow. You are not a video person... yet. You have great insight, but you do not possess the camera presence at the moment to really capture viewers attention and it will destroy your presence and how often youtube will prevent your videos. I would suggest you leverage applications like Doodly to help bring your videos to life but still get the message across. I wish you all the best!!! Good luck!😁
@@BrettFoxstartupceo Mr Fox you have fantastic knowledge. Maybe adding some stock footage for B-roll can help with retention. I'm also starting on RUclips and it's a road to make videos more engaging

Sorry this happened, Claudio. Listening and challenging the opinions of the people around you is a key ingredient for success.
I've been in a similar situation. The company didn't fail, but lost big suppliers and lots of revenue.
