In the lives of the tourists, this is a fun, exciting adventure. In the lives of these creatures, they are being harassed, intruded upon and baited. They deserve to live lives as unmolested by humans as possible. They don't ask for interaction with humans, and it must be amazingly stressful in the lives of these elephants to regularly encounter humans and strange, powerful vehicles, that stalk and chase and run towards and away from their families. Like I said before, Do you know why elephants don't get in giant buses and ride through our neighborhoods? Because somebody would probably kill them. The Safari whackos need to let that sink in.
Try this point of view. Elephants are poached . To save the elephants from this, in a country that is poor, you need money to fight for these elephants. Money from tourists. More tourists, more money. And that money is spent on conservation and protecting it's wildlife. Money to hire rangers . Money for their guns . Without "money from tourists" the poachers will kill every living elephant there is. That's how the safari came to be. I myself say, " thank you" to tourists and their money, and " thank you "safaris ". I'd rather see tusks on a live elephant than cut off from a dead one.

Is there a certain reason why Mbula looks like he is going to charge backwards? It looked to me in a particular time in this encounter that he was about to charge at the jeep in reverse; is this a common Elephant behavior? 05 08 17 7:51P.
The herd most likely sent her out there to do that so, that they can make their escape. Most likely she will catch up to them shortly after or at a later time. I see she is conditioned to charge and walk that path, this is not normal behavior for a wild elephant. The land is their territory, not ours! Remember elephants have low and undetectable vocalization that our human ears can not hear. Just like whales and all other animals. We have not even begun to tap into and understand their vast and complex language, knowledge and skilled thinking. Apparently, I commented about the herd before watching this family of elephants passed thru. You'll have to excuse me, I read way to many educational books and study animals' behavior and their surrounding environment.

The management of this reserve know more about elephants, and care about them, more than possibly all other elephant sanctuaries. They understand them and know all the individuals, but respect their wild status. Before you say anything further negative about Thula Thula, I ask you please to read "The Elephant Whisperer" by Lawrence Anthony. He started this reserve, under extraordinary circumstances and his courage, understanding of and communication with elephants was possibly unique. After his untimely death, his family have continued to care for, maintain, and ensure the safety of these animals, in addition to rhinos and other precious wildlife. Read that book. It is a riveting story of care, compassion and above all, understanding of animals. Lawrence Anthony was a truly remarkable man who contributed to the physical and emotional and social wellness of these magnificent animals to a truly inspirational level. (Another truly wonderful inspired and dedicated person responsible for the survival of countless wild elephants, among other animals, in Kenya, was the late Dame Daphne Sheldrick of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Find out about her exceptional life with wildlife, as well. And when you have finished reading The Elephant Whisperer, pass it on to someone else who will also be enthralled). Enjoy. :),

A what are these crazy fools laughing at?
GP!!!!
Because their idiots that’s why !
Nervous laughter
They were laughing to hide the fact that they were so scare. Their balls were about to melt. Don't with creatures. Don't spend your money just to ruin someone day.
A REAL Chief In Command, Watching The HERD ! :-) He Says; "FUCK OFF !!" :-)
Don't Mess Around !! RESPECT !
Driver is dope,he should be given first place in reverse driving😂
ALAN, I hope you are a bit ashamed, looking back on this.
0:20 ahahaah hahaha, yes, very funny...you must have all shit out of fear..
Absolutely beautiful and majestic animal!!! I love those elephants. So intelligent too. Much more then most humans I've come across. Humans are like flies and behave like flies. Harass you for no good reasons.
Hahaha see what I mean; the guy says "he's turning" lol
Everyone is laughing meanwhile I would need a clean pair of pants
He is saying, "Get the fuck out of my habitat"
To continually agitate those animals for commercial need is sad and disgraceful. One charge should have been enough....sad
Absolutely wrong approach...
Shame on the specific guides that taunt and tease these magnificent creatures for the 💰 money that we give to these guides so the humans can show they are the most powerful. We need to stop hiring these elephant guides period!!!!!
The ranger was putting the lives of the tracker and his clients in danger and showing no respect to the elephant. This was shameful behavior and he should lose his job.
Scary..
that s how its
when on safari
THX 4 the clip
Maybe some guests want this "thrill," but I would be angry at the taunting going on here. It is so dangerous.
Disgusting loud obnoxious behaviour by the passengers.
With the vehicle stopping every time the elephant stops, their teasing and enticing the poor animal! These tours should not be allowed only if they are enclosed and keep moving. This way there teasing the wild Majestic animal.
What kind of safari outfit were you with.Badly trained rangers that would put their tourists in that position of danger, The Very dangerous bull elephant who was giving you all the signs big time to move out of his space and u kept on going.
yana slater x I @be
Those rangers are fine . they know exactly what is happening .. start worrying when then tracker on the front runs
@@gregorybathurst4326 u
The driver had to tell that dude to sit down while trying to take photos of the charging elephant.
What if the car suddenly breaks down=☠
Wondered about that too, or it get's stuck in the mud.
Dont worry, that elephant will help to push it
@@hamdanjantan399 😄😄
Seems to be a big thing in South Africa, provoking wild animals.
"I'm good at driving in reverse." -- George Costanza, Seinfeld
Was I the only one who was hoping the poor elephant would get to the bastards?
These animals really cannot win, we intrude into their world and lock them up in ours. Teasing an animal like this could result in tragedy but the elephant will be the one to pay the price. Who does man think he is!?!? Arrogant, bullying, exploiting and manipulative sounds about right to me. Shame on you ...how would you react if you were treated like this!?!?!?
7:14 guys on the bonnet keeps checking if there is still space back there, else he’ll be the first to get thrown around
Exactly! He should have gotten inside the vehicle not at the very last minute. They acted so stupid by courting danger.
If the truck broke down..or flat tire...or stalled....there would be no more laughing....
Hey Ellie, flip that truck over let’s see how funny they think it is then. !!!!! LOL
Taunting him - knowing his hormones are flowing - not right just to entertain tourists . There are limits when invading their space !
y r u teasing him?
The behaviour of the tourists is not appreciable.
Get the FUCK OUT OFF MY PROPERTY!!!!! Hahaha, 😲😂😂😂
Why wouldn't they respect him?
A group of these magnificent creatures is called a ‘herd’ and spelled ‘herd’, not ‘heard’ which means something you have listened you.
I wonder if the guy sitting in the back of the vehicle is bait.....
Well said Gooberwalla. The driver was showing what an "Arse hole he was by putting his colleague's life in jeopardy. As for the confounded idiots and cowards sitting behind and taking videos not worrying a bit about the fact that the poor guide sitting in front was inches away from being killed, they are unworthy of more "Comment".
These folk must be stopped! No more abusing elephants. Something should treat them the way they've mistreated ELEPHANT!😞
Absolutely
Way to teach them how to CHARGE fools. Note:Don't use THIS safari outfit.
Elephant itna friendly Hai kyon kar ke pass mein Aakar bhi attack nahin kiya aur public jo hai usse chhed rahi hai ❤️ elephant yadi krodit Ho jaaye to kar ulat dete Hai❤ aur yah Insan ko samajh mein nahin a Raha ki Janwar Ko chedna nahin chahie bematlab❤ Janwar mein patient Hai per Insan ko Kaun De akal❤️ O my God
This touring company should be fined what they are doing is inciting stress in those herds
extremely thrilling..
but i am surprise persons in jeep still laughing, can any one tell me why they are so confident just like nothing is gonna happen...
+saadat dastgir This is their 100th adventure, I guess. Look at the man sitting outside !
He can't catch us and weighs just a few tons. And he's in musth. Break out the picnic basket!
You Tube you are as much to blame for keeping these videos up letting them get millions of views which was clearly the only reason they were taunting this Elle. They even say it with laughter. Sad and a disgusting
Please leave the elephants 🐘 alone! They just want live quiet life! Please don't hurt them!
Mei Lin Pang Right! becos when they get irritated they will attack! 🐘🐘🐘🐘
They aren't hurting them in the normal sense, but they are tormenting them, which is worse, because this affects the stability and behaviour of the whole family. And their social bond is far more complicated and precious than we can ever understand.
Exactly. We should know better. The elephant family is not the plaything for the safari tourists to have fun with.
Who knows how many idiots like this he had to face today .No wonder this elephant is a bit tictuff..There is a lack of respect towards elephants 🐘
How come he can drive that long without even looking back..
What is the purpose of - what appears to be - a chair attached to the front bumper of the vehicle? Is the guy who sits in it supposed to be a sacrifice if the elephant catches them?
NotSunkYet
He’s the tracker. Helps find the game... when they are moving forward.
I can’t believe they are laughing!! This majestic animal could turn you into a large pancake. It shows total disrespect for this animal. If something happened, I would not feel bad at all. I’d feel bad for the elephant and the stress you’re causing him!!!!
Boy if they surrounded them they would be trapped. Flipped over and trampled to death. Guided were putting them in grave danger. Very stupid.
Breaks my heart how they are abusing these elephants with the way they are acting. This should be illegal
? They didn’t do anything to the elephants. They’re just sitting there.
@@jamesmorrison2055 They were purposely taunting the bull so he would continue to chase them. They know he is in musth and will chase them away. It is disrespectful and dangerous.
Playing with any elephant is not a good idea
Why do they do this. He is in stress or musth. Leave these gentle giants alone already
The guide is laughing? What's funny about this? That guide should get fired..he's putting everyone at death's door..quit challenging that elephant..you will be the loser.
They are just harassing these poor elephant's and
laughing like idiots. I would like to see what would happen if the Jeep breakdown..
The one who is laughing is the most terrified person.
i have to say elephants really are spectacular animals. i really love them. lot of respect for them. may we never lose them, to moron like those in the video for example
These guides need to loose there jobs. They are ruining it for the next tourists coming through.
Nothing but annoying shit flies, those people! That beautiful male was just protecting the family.
They are not always in the mood for smelly Jeeps full of snoopers. Would you?
Soooo PATHETIC!!! PROVOCATIVE...just get out off there...this animals deserve to be alone and respected😡
The tourists have no respect for the elephant
that is so not how to respect animals. hope they are shut down. This is in noway how to run a safari, must be reported, god this is bloody awefull to watch, his laugh makes my skin crawl.
Enjoy. :),
i just don't understand why can't people fucking leave animals alone? animals are highly intelligent and want to be left alone in peace! they don't want to be intimidated but humans just don't understand..sitting in there cars jeeps takeing pictures makeing videos but these animals don't want that ..they are very very protective of there herd n calfs...i just wish they would bring a law in n put a stop to this 😡😡😡😡😡😡
fazana cosor humans are more intelligent
fazana cosor indeed
These Elephants never forget this harassment, thus the next group passing by will see more aggression - NOT THE FAULT of the animals
No they are not humans are worthless stupid things that took over the world when it originally belonged to the ANIMALS humans should not be alive!
Cornel Botnaru You think we are more intelligent than animals? That’s a laugh! We humans are the biggest idiots! We think we hold sway over every living creature, we constantly start wars and our lives are rules by the almighty dollar! No, we are the most ignorant of any living creature...
It’s the elephants turf not yours !!!
Same for the colonizing whites like you
