Do you think revoking short-term rental licenses will stop the housing crisis?

The issue in Spain and Portugal is that if a tenenant does not pay rent it is difficult to regain access to property. For this reason landlords prefer to keep the property not rented. Portugal closed down the NHR regime but rent prices arr not going down.

Permiso de trabajo process time is well beyond 90 days and can be rejected. They are SWAMPED with applications and no Gestorerias can speed up these permits. Spanish beuarocracy.

Yes, you’re correct. This could be fixed and the solution is taxing upper income, people higher, and a wealth tax so that they don’t allow people to accumulate the kind of massive amount of wealth, which you seem to be applauding and which drive the problem of inequity in all societies and are ruining the world

Catalonia has lost out to the Separatists and has islamified the region. The originals are now nearing extinction. Energy prices hikes, pickpockets, street violence and poor jobs as a few of the ways the Socialists have ruined a previous vibrant city. Even the Airport is a danger zone now. Yes, INSIDE the terminals. I sold my apartment in Poble Nou in 2006 and probably still not worth now what I sold it for then. Opportunities in distressed finance and Turnarounds likley the new opportunities. Ohh , And Valencia is a disaster Zone in case you hadn't noticed

Spain is not one for me, and not a stable investment in my opinion!
