FunOnlyNaruto here. I agree with you. CC2 is great at animations and graphics; however, they really lack creativity. Actually, they hit the perfect formula for arena fighters, and they can't stray from it since it is very successful. Also, yes, the game runs at 60 FPS. I only experienced some frame drops during Daki's ultimate.
I do feel the creativity even for the storm series, yeah they were able to make it a whole new set for Sasuke the last even though he like 5 Seconds of screen time but they just can't do that for the characters that look for the two heroines that were actually in the movie

Thats basically every game with a sequel, or set of sequels, in every game generation. Usually, it's because of tech/hardware/software restrictions of the time, or they didn't have the full picture at the start. Even writers struggle with a beginning and end, regardless of how good the middle is.
as someone who played a ton of the first game and stayed with it throughout most of its lifespan i’m excited but tentative, i think some of its bigger problems were input delay, no cross play and lack of balance patches, Susamaru and Akaza basically ruled the game and that never really changed. hopefully they keep this new one updated and that the input delay is fixed
Lack of match customization, no training options, no single player content other than story mode, 2 really broken characters, very few costumes, terrible matchmaking, no options for online lobbies, barely any balance patches Those are basically all my problems with the old game, if most or all of those are fixed there is no doubt in my mind this will be the best arena fighter out right now with no competition

Regarding the pushblock in this game, if you notice around the 9:15 mark or so, you should notice that their push block guard is starting to turn red and eventualy looks like it breaks at the opponent attacks them, so at least they made it not infinite.
If they learned their lesson they'll probably update the story 3 DLC this time, or they'll just make a third game either way there was plenty of content for a sequel since the original just covered the first season
I don’t mind them releasing the game next year if they will update it properly as the movies come out. If they release a whole new game after the movies come out though… that’d be mad goofy.

Btw this game got leaked by midori (controversial atlus/sega leaker) about like a year ago, so yeah a lot of people knew this game was coming i just didn't expect it to be so soon tbh.
It's needs more depth in combo and special attacks, special counters, and more than one ultimate attack. It still has a basic block and push-back system. Otherwise, it's just another Naruto game. They should make an openworld demon slayer co-op like elden ring where you build up your characters and hunt demons.
I actually heard there was a sequel In the works, I jumped Into the 1st really really late, granted I seen It on a crazy sale so, I bought It, played It and had sooo much fun maining Shinobu & Rengoku. but fell off cause I heard there was no more updates and that they wanted to focus on a 2nd version. forgot who said It but yeah lol so glad It came true and cant wait to play!!

That’s why anytime an anime fighter gets released all the fans of the anime rush to buy but as soon as they hop online they realize that they’re not really built for the competitive online experience. And this is not marvel rivals or overwatch where you can blame everything on your teammates. And if someone can’t hang online then there’s really nothing else for them to do besides story mode and fight the cpu. Only a small percentage of ppl get stomped online and say “okay let me get on RUclips and learn and then go to training mode to lab combos & strats”
I wish they didn’t do this ngl. At least until they finished adapting the anime. There’s so much content and demons left to show with the final arc which would mean missing out potentially on favorites depending on who you like

My issue to this game. Is the damn effects. Ya can barely see anything 💀 its bright as hell and worse tajiro has it to. the rengoku blind screen man. It seems to be the same game, with same mechanics, there is punishment on spamming heavy supers. Ultimates are also very fast now to.

This “new game” literally could have just been an expansion pack with changes to the system mechanics and better netcode. Just another lazy arena fighter like storm connections.
Welcome to cc2 come on that's literally how the storm series came to be and it's one of the best anime game series ever, reusing assets for a sequel to this extent is nothing new
First game sold allot of copies sure but then after the honey moon phase people forget how BAD the player base dropped because of how repetitive and stale the gameplay was AND the online was just trash. Sparking zero dropped player base too but the mechanics are really creative and there’s so much to do in those fights than just slash slash up slash then slash call assist 🤷🏽♂️ 70$ too

input lag was crazy ass ngl. But the game will always play in 30fps as long as they keep making it cross compatible w the weaker versions of consoles

Did you even watch the video? It adds season 2-4 with all the characters relevant to it. Don't expect to see kokushibo or Demon Tanjiro in this
