Another cracking video Dave. Here's to a better year for you.
As you said Dave, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Lovely early morning scene, packing up with the radio on in the background. Good to see you in the company of Scott and the mountains. Take care, Simon, Somerset.
As ever...pure quality.. from start to finish.

Absolutely brilliant video! Those drone shots were fantastic.
Hi dave another stunning video you looked like you were enjoying yourself what a cracking pitch you were lucky with the weather keep them coming always look forward to the next one 😊
Very much enjoy your videos. About 45yrs ago as an ICI apprentice on a YMCA course our tent blew away at Sprinkling Tarn. Nice to see the area under better weather conditions thanks to your video.
Appreciate you sharing these amazing views and the scenery, love the drone footage. Cannot get to these places myself so really enjoy it when good people like yourself take the time and effort to post these videos for us to watch atb
Big thanks Harry 🙏🏻
Fantastic! Can’t get enough of those views. Such great colors in the sky in the evening and morning!
Used to love hiking the hills. A bit long in the tooth now so you can do it for me .keep em coming dave.
I pitched on that exact same spot last summer. It’s lovely that little tarn up from Sprinking Tarn.
Wow. You scored with the weather truly amazing.
Lovely video🙏😊 Glad to see you up and about again, -new year, new possibilities, new hikes and camps to look forward to😊 Don't look back-you're not going that way. Happy New Year!😊👋🇧🇻

Outstanding vlog again! So much better than the garbage on TV. Your adventures are so inspirational! Cannot wait for the next one 👍
Really appreciate that Richard 🙏🏻
What a great video especially the last hike down with the waterfalls and the awesome music to accompany it 🤩👍
Great cinematography and music choices, and and Dave you're just so enthusiastic and knowledgable about the area, it's really infectious.
Love the videos, always happy to see the notification pop up on my screen
This was a great video for me, so thanks. I’ve still not done an overnight up there, as I’m still finding my feet (literally), but I tell you what, your videos and others are really supporting me having a go and I’m working up to it. I’m finding even 8kg on terrain like that really challenging balance-wise but I’m getting there gradually. Thanks again, great quality vid.
Keep at it man! I returned to the hills last year and did my first 7 wild camps in 2021. Leaned a ton. I agree on the inspiration, there's some great RUclipsrs out there who share the right attitude. Dave is a great example of this. I think that's why his vids resonate. It's infectious! Get up there and enjoy the first camp this year, be safe man.
If you haven’t got trekking poles mate, get a a decent pair They help enormously with balance and give you more power and rhythm because you use your upper body strength too.
Another awesome camp mate, keep them coming 👍
Enjoyed. Thankyou. Best Part by far was watching your expression as you took in the view of the borrowdale Glaramara
Valley on the walk out, priceless. Ps raining in North of Portsmouth and watching your camp expos. Helping my mood whilst working from home. Take care.
Thanks again Colin 👍. Take care - Dave
The mountains up from Seathwaite are one of my favourite areas in England, incredible place. I always enjoy seeing it in your videos nice to see you're back out.
Hi Dave, I have just come across your videos last night ,after finding myself watching more videos like this since the pandemic and being inside more in the evenings ,and have just watched this one .I was totally mesmerised for the whole video and for someone who finds it difficult to find something that holds my attention ,these days that's saying something! Its difficult to find words to describe how beautiful your video is and the scenery is just breathtaking .Some of the music is really beautiful too ,and i found myself feeling totally relaxed and just there ,which is so important in these stressful times. Thank goodness for people like you who are adventurous enough to do these hikes and take people like me ,who would love to do this ,but not be brave enough ,on your journeys with you ,so we can experience some of the beauty that we might not ever see.Anyway thank you so much for sharing and taking us with you !Stay warm and safe .Best wishes Jane
Really appreciate that Jane. Thank you for such kind words 🙏🏻
you are very welcome, looking forward to watching the next one.Thank you for making them and being so inspirational . Kind regards.@@TheSoloSummiteer
What was that tricky path going back, one you need to concentrate on. Brilliant.
Hi David. It’s the path at the side of Taylorgill Force waterfall
Great video Dave, those surroundings would make me feel I'd like to stay there.
absolutely beautiful , you lucky devil , such a fantastic place ,well done mate 👍👍👏👏
Terrific work, this captured the colours and landscape perfectly during sunset, dawn and sunlight on the ice dusted fells. The drone work is excellent with good edits. First class as always Dave👍👍👏👏👏
Big thanks Dave 🙏🏻

What a stunning location that was. The tarn looks like a mirror from above, absolutely gorgeous. Loving the drone footage, and that route back was breathtaking. Great Gable looked so beautiful glowing orange in the morning sun, fantastic video, absolutely loved it 🙏👍❤
Really appreciate your kind words Keren. Your enthusiasm motivates and inspires me to keep going during difficult times. Big thanks 🙏🏻
@@TheSoloSummiteer I really hope things are starting to get better for you now and I cant think of a better way to find peace of mind and clarity than being in the great outdoors and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. You do an amazing job with your channel and you are such an inspiration to so many of us Dave. Looking forward to many more adventures from you ❤
Not really Keren. It’s a bit like one step forward, two steps back. Got to keep pushing on I guess. Support from people like yourself is amazing tho 🙏🏻
@@TheSoloSummiteer credit where its due, you are inspiring and true to yourself and us all. Part of the reason you are my most favourite channel is because you are so honest and down to earth, Im sure apart from me, there are so many others that can relate to you. All we can do is to keep plodding on, things will work themselves out in the end, they always do. All the best Dave ❤
Happy New Year Dave👍

Excellent vlog Dave. Good to see this one posted up. I know its easy for all us armchair walkers to comment but a massive well done for bringing yet another great vlog to RUclips.
Thank you Michael. Your comments are always appreciated 🙏🏻
Fantastic place to pitch! Your videos almost make me regret leaving Cumbria 15 years ago! Great stuff as always, and I rather fancy that little thermometer.
Absolutely stunning. The hike our was a bit dicey. 😬 love the views.
Big thanks Liz🙏🏻. Yeah an “interesting” descent 😁
I bought two of the Bluetooth thermometers you reviewed and they are brilliant and I currently am using them in my house. Thanks for the info about them.
Nice one Ramsay 👍
Love your videos, so well made. Definitely one of my go to channels anytime I need a fell fix. Thanks for sharing.
🙏🏻
Anither epic adventure beautiful shot, absolutely stunning. Best channel on RUclips 👍
Big thanks Mark 🙏🏻
Hi dave great video mate love this one the camping location was amazing woww what a sun rise, love how you keep it real. Stay safe see you on the next trip. Michael notts
You got gorgeous weather again. That Tarn area is stunning. You sure got ideal visibility! Love the drone shot over the Tarn to Great end. .... I'm up for a day on 15th. Then hope to pop up for a camp in the weeks after that. See if we get any snow!
Nice one John. Good luck with your camp 😎👍⛺️🏔
Thanks for all your hard work and time taking us on the journey with you and putting the videos together! I have not been on many walks in the Lake district, mainly from Boot in Eskdale to Scarfell and Scarfell pike finishing off in the Wasdale head Inn! My problem is my brain wants to do it but my body says no! I'm no spring chicken anymore!! I have a problem with my lower back at the moment but hopefully in the spring I can walk to sprinkling tarn, it looks fantastic, love the waterfalls, it would take me twice as long to get there as I like stopping to take photos. All the best and keep going.....
Pike oblisco looked tricky . I'm new to the wild camp done 3 last one October. My 2 dogs couldn't get to some of the mountain areas you visit. Love the vlogs very interesting. When I stood looking out towards Scafell on a walk with the dogs the feeling was amazing for a fat lad with complications. Keep inspiring maybe view my vlogs .
Nice one and well done 💪👍
Great video as always dave, give me inspiration to get my gear together and get out this year for some wild solo camps, im only 1:30hr away from lakes so not a great distance to travel, look forward to your vids now cheers
What a stunning place. Great video . Hope you have a better year pal
Wow 👌 nice 😀 thanks
Hi Dave,
Great video….. the outdoors seems to help with those feelings we all get from time to time. I don’t know what has happened in your life to make way for the need to escape but i hope you u are feeling some peace. Everybody deserves some peace from time to time. Best of luck 🤞
Another great video. You possibly know this already...if you cut a tennis ball in half you can put one half at the bottom of the pole to stop it sinking into the ground and the other half at the top of the pole to protect the tent. It works on my Luxe mini peak which is like your pyramid tent.
Big thanks Chris 🙏🏻. I know about the tennis ball thing now and have done that. I’ve also changed my trekking poles. ATB Dave
Wow, another fantastic video and incredible views on your route down! That was brilliant. Here's to you in 2022 Dave, ATB
🙏🏻
Thanks for taking us with you Dave, what a fantastic start to 2022 and what a year it’s going to be 🙏
Hey bud, not really watched much yet just saw a new Paul Messner vid and he gave you a shout so thought I’d sub and checkout your vids. From what I’ve seen of just this one I’m really impressed , amazing scenery and great quality camera work 👍🏼 all the best mate, Ant
Nice one Ant 😎👍. Big thanks 🙏🏻
Absolutely fantastic film as always Dave ('video' just doesn't do it justice) I love how you make a small part of a small island look totally epic , how you haven't been snapped up as a cinematographer is beyond me 😉
Keep 'em coming mate, much love for your work fella❤🙏👍
Really appreciate that EG 🙏🏻
Your videos get better and better, keep up the brilliant work and all the best for 2022 👍
Nice one Dave, loved seeing familiar fells in completely different light (ie early morning). cheers.
Watched the vid last night Dave, enjoyed it, checked the thermometer out. Looks Ok to me.
I was out myself on a yomp today up Round Loaf and Great Hill, very moody and atmospheric with the wind and snow. I know it isn't the Lakes,Snowdonia or the Cairngorms, but as you know it's just as good in its own way.
ATB Dave and keep 'em coming M8.
Thanks Michael. Yeah it lovely up there. And it’s ours 🙏🏻
Another great one Dave. Great to see you out so much recently. Really need to pull my finger out and get out soon.
Take it easy mate
👍😊
Big thanks Rob 🙏🏻
Keep up the great vlogs dude!
Lovely photography, just stunning! I really liked the night time shots too. It looked like quite a challenging route down, I wondered if you were tempted to have a swim under one of the waterfalls!😂
Thanks Liz glad you enjoyed it. Yeah stunning pools for a cold dip 😎🥶👍
Cracking area up round there Dave can get a bit busy too in summer.. Its a fair old trek out to the official Seathwaite fell summit too & as wainright describes the best place to view Seathwaite valley..Great drone footage & Great End always looks a massive beast from there don't it..hope tha doing well pal take care. Andy.
Cheers Andy 🙏🏻
Great video, wonderful shots as ever. The music you use is similar to what I listen to while working so it's nice to have your videos on in background.
Another cracking post Dave. What a great camping spot. That descent via Taylorgill Force looks like fun, never used that one. Will have to do that next time I'm up there. Many thanks.
What a trip. That descent looked great fun!
Hi mate! Fantastic video, as always!
Those drone shots was just fantastic, top work!
I can’t wait to get into the fells shortly, going to the short but stunning castle crag.
Thanks for such a relaxing, amazing video !
All the best - Adam in the wild
Big thanks Adam 🙏🏻

Watching this, thought this looks familiar..then it clicked I’d seen The Lone Explorer’s video last week. Another good one though. Happy new year Dave keep the videos coming.
Another great video Dave - Just what I needed to lift my spirits . I've come down with what I can only imagine is a V bad dose of FLU . Done multiple tests and it's not the Rona . Thankfully the aches and the shivers have subsided , but it's fair wiped me out mate . It be reet I'm sure , I'll soon be back out again appreciating the simple pleasures in life to the max .
Take it easy Dave , Neil .
Sorry to hear that Neil. Hope you’re feeling better soon bud 👍
Stunning scenery Dave, have a good new year.
Great video again Dave . Lovely to see the different colours of the area and the waterfall was just fantastic . How's the hand ✋ doing since your op hope it's getting back to normal . Take care and thanks for your time and effort .
Big thanks Wendy 🙏🏻. Hand is doing ok
looks gorgeous up there. Unfortunately, no mountains down here in Kent
I agree with John Hill: another great video like always. The use of the drone takes it to the next level. Stay save Dave and God bless you for your videos. They help to keep me sane in this screwed up time.
Big thanks OIF 🙏🏻
Happy New Year and what a great year it will be with videos like this 😂. Hopefully I can get up to the lakes in the next 2 months .
Good to see you back out again, Dave. Fantastic footage as always, making me want to be back in the Lakes. I’m planning a couple of trips up there this year - hopefully a multi-day wild camp at some stage.
Keep up the cracking work! Love the mirror at 20:15.
🙏🏻
Fantastic Dave. I love Seathwaite Fell with all its tarns and it’s a great route with that return path on the less visited path down the side of Taylorgill Force. That drone footage up Taylorgill Force was brilliant and gave a whole new perspective of it I’ve never seen before.Great to see you out again. Atb👍🏻
