In this video we go over the top great league teams that got me around 400 ELO and hit veteran. Dewgong, Sableye, Clodsire.

I'm surprised you did so well with that team with all the feralgators around. Your team is very soft to it

My Feraligatr has had a lot of fun crushing multiple Sableye today.

This team could handle it decently. Dewgong walls it and sableye can hold its own against it
@@pac_0183 dewgong does not walls it. it loses to it on every even shields scnario.
Sableye get outpaced in thos matchups.
I dont think it's a good team, i think he had alot of luck with the team he faced. i used that team today in 2300-2400 elo and saw 3 times shadow gator out of

I'm sitting at the 2600's rn and just messing around with teams before I push for legend. Right now I'm using two teams I think you'd enjoy using an all safe swap team. One is Vigoroth, Sableye, Gligar and the other is Lickitung, Annihilape, Gligar.
Sableye with a two-three claw advantage is ruthless
Many Azus have hydro now. Blame Basti 😁 And lots of Azus brought Clodsire back to light.

Tbh you might be able to get away with running sludge homb on closure with this team to really cover the fairy weakness
After hitting about 20 ELO shy of leaderboards in the summer cup I have been in a rut lately and struggling to find an open GL team and dropped down to 2250. I ran this team this morning (swapping regular sableye for shadow) and went 16-9. Thanks for the team!
Nice vid and congrats on the gains! Might shamelessly copy this team. Currently running Azu, skele, and sable with success around 2350-2400 but this looks fun too.
I went with a mantine lead with ice beam and annihilape with n/s and s/b. Bear in mind, I noted each battle. Battle 1. Charjabug, switch annihilape, in comes wiggly, Game over.
Battle 2. Carbink switch, Gligar game over
Battle 3. Shadow magnezone, switch, azumarill (actually managed to win this due to recognising some silly baits.
Battle 4. Lanturn spark, switch, charm ninentales. I’m actually running water gun lanturn in the back so wasn’t able to turn that around either. Gave up after that
Do you think it could work swapping clodsire out for carbink?
I'm running a similar team and found similar success, actually! Clodsire, Sableye and Altaria. Clodsire with Sludge Bomb/Earthquake so it can deal with stray Azumarills. I went from 2000 to 2300 in two days with this team - Clodsire feels like freelo at this point. It's also nice to triple counter Annihilapes which seem to be everywhere in my range

Man not having played in the time where shadow sableeye was available just sucks. Such a cool pokemon i would like to use, but i just cant.
I love my shadow sableye. Took forever to build it. Got a rank 30. It's a monster still. So much better than the non shadow in my opinion. It can two shot with foul play lots of things that the regular or purified cant

Man my clodsire got so hard countered. I tried with Cruel and it worked better for me

Dang, 2/3 ain't bad. I felt sure the lead was Trevenant, not Dewgong. I guess Trev is not the safest lead right now though with all the Flyers around, huh?
I’m using Altria, Feraligatr and Togedemaru, don’t have Shadow Feraligatr
I dont have dewgong built. Or sableye.
So... I did actually guess this team correctly, and ran it myself. However I ran clod with the poison moveset because I wanted it to be the anti fairy on the team...and it didn't work for me at all! Sableye & dewgong are great pokemon and I highly recommend them, but I HATE clod - and have done in the past too. Bad in it's bad matches, bad in it's good matches... I've actually now labelled it 'DO NOT USE!' 😂
I actually am using a different team with dewgong and sableye but replaced clodsire with Defense Deoxys. Doing well so far.
@@DanOttawaPOGO2 things really annoyed me about clod... It's terrible at farming things down (on one memorable occasion I attempted it against a low health spark lantern, and ate 3 surfs for my trouble). And also it's an anti fairy/fighter that can struggle against both azu & annihilape depending on moveset/baits etc. I like the idea of DD, but still worry that it can lose hard to the ape in certain circumstances. Boy, does that stupid monkey make team building harder than it used to be... (but in a good way 👍)
