That is a might big and heavy wired hook for little summer run fish and half pounders. Those irons are for B run fish. Would literally impale a half pounder.

Yeah for half pounders a sz 7 would be better. Landed plenty of adults on the Rogue with the sz 5 and it's worked out just fine.
