I am a massive Park tool fan, but, having had the original kit and subsequently purchased separately the di2 cable from upgrade 1.2 I have found these do not hold up too long in a busy shop environment. I am disappointed that this revision has Unfortunately not solved the main issue I have had with this kit! The magnets come detached from the wires after a while as they seem to be held by the shrink wrap (and possibly some type of glue) 😢
I struggled to make use of something like this because of too much obstruction areas on my frame, and maybe too thick carbon fibre or something. I feel that the manufacturers of frames these days need to think of the mechanic as well, because swopping cables and housings should be a fairly quick, painless and easy job. I had to route new housing and cable for my dropper on my Pivot Switchblade, and I ended up just forcing the housing down the seat tube and wiggle it to point up the downtube. Had to do a bit of push and pull and wiggle around to finally get it up to a port. I tried several times with the routing kit, but I just found it very hard to route the magnet around the bottom bracket are as well as shock mount area. Once I lost the connection with the magnet it was pretty much game over. Most of my downtube is covered with a plastic protection from factory so that would've been a good place to run a magnet down if it wasn't there...
I have put sleeving into a down tube as an experiment for making cable replacement easier . This was successful but impractical for manufacturers due to cost .
The magnet in the magnet tool fell out of the handle during its 2nd use. When it fell out, just like anything else I drop, the magnet ended up in another dimension on the other side of a black hole. Can't find another magnet that will work with the handle, and I'm not spending another $67 for the kit just to get another magnet tool.
They’re on QBP & elsewhere now. There may have been miscommunication about launch dates etc. but we’ve got them in stock and they should too - if not now then I’m the next few weeks
The ends are shorter to help them fit through tighter bends, there is a new cable for the EW-SD300 wires and the double ended barb. Oh, and the round case making storage easier.
It will be available in the replacement parts section of our website eventually. Those parts are not available at the time of launch so look for them in about a months time.
Some jerky potato head returned their IR-1.3 to Amazon without two of the five guide wires (and at least one adapter, and maybe instructions? is there a booklet?). Guess who got it, thanks a lot.
Finally they put a round tool in a round container!

you can always get more heat shrink, they make them with adhesive sealant for marine environments. it's cheap.
Worth every single cent. Have the previous version. Really saved me and my sanity. Thanks 👍

Who cares about the poor bar steward in the bike shop when you can gain 0.5w by going internally routed!

Now we just have to convince more bike manufacturers to make big enough ports in the frame to run full housing
Yes full internal routing is best!

Can we buy the connection barb separately? I have the older version and that barb would come in handy.
Saw a pedal wrench on the wall as you were using a cone wrench.
??? There are no pedals in this video.
Ingenious ! 😊
Clever stuff!

Can owners of existing kits purchase the missing part, the double bard and sd-300 routing wire, separately?
It will eventually be available on Parktool.com in the replacement parts section. They are typically not available at the time a product is launched.
para rutear cables en los monocasco excelente me falta
I saw these being sold and then removed from qbp and other suppliers? Was there a reason for that ,did they get a recall i wasn’t aware of ?

What's the difference with 1.2 -version?
It appears the 1.3 includes the double-threaded barb and Di2-EW-SD300 specific guide. MSRP on the 1.3 is only $3 more than the 1.2.

@@parktool ok. I try come along with my 1.2.
@@parktool It's the EW-SD300 cable sold apart? as an upgrade for us we have the 1.2?
