  • ITINERARY DESCRIPTION
    Municipality: Hornachuelos
    Distance: 4.3kms
    Duration: 1h and 30m
    Difficulty:
    Low Signed: Yes
    Accessibility:
On foot This path is 4.30 km long and the difficulty involved in walking it is low, having to overcome different natural accidents in which the passage is made easier thanks to the work of the neighborhood association that has promoted the path. The path is accessed from the town's Ronda, in the direction of the pier, which we will leave on our left and look for the high-voltage transformer of the Bembézar bypass dam. This is the starting point of the route, which runs along the right bank of the dam and takes us along a well-compacted path to the Fuente de los Tres Caños, located shortly before the Los Ángeles Seminary, which gives its name to the route. . Part of this road was used by the monks to reach the Seminary, and by travelers coming from Posadas and the Sierra to reach Hornachuelos and the Monastery. This trail crosses several geographical features, such as the Barranco del Infierno, the Arroyo de la Rabilarga, the Poyato, or the Arroyo del Silencio, in which, leaving the road aside and entering the course of the stream, we can see up to 5 waterfalls in the wet season. During this route we will see different types of plant species, many of which are signposted, giving the trail a great educational interest. Another important aspect of the Path of the Angels is the large number of species fauna that we can observe, such as the Cormorant* or the Griffon Vultures.
