I am fishing 2 Daiwa 3000 for deep water and 4 1200 for trolling and reef bottom and now 2 j400 I am learning jigging. I never heard of the drag sound. This is our biggest problem not knowing when we are hooked up and being spooled. Thanks for a game changer tid bit ! coming to your store next week from our Palm Beach dock.

Very informative video! These reels have opened up the deeper fisheries for the recreational fishermen. I want to add a precautionary tip. When, not if, you get hung up on bottom structure, don't lock up the reel and try to break off the line. It's very possible to damage the mechanical components of the reel and ruin the rest of your day on the water. Once you have made the decision you can't free your jig, use a knot puller or a small section of PVC pipe or even a cleat on the boat to break the line.

Phenomenal video on explaining all the features on the G300J which I just purchased. I haven’t used it yet but have been reading through the booklet and at first it’s a bit intimidating. This is the most informative video yet on reels that you have produced. I have several multi-day deep drop trips coming up and can’t wait to use it. I can’t believe how much power is in the reel. The G series has a stronger torque and stronger engine. My friend has the G300J and swears by it. I’m going to pair it with my Temple Reef Innovate 7’8 H 250-650g or the Spathe Deep III. I have used much larger electrics but only for bait and the were a bit cumbersome especially if you had to chase a fish down the rail. The one tip that you mentioned was upgrading to a SPJ knob. Thanks again for such an informative video. Jig On

Love the video and made me subscribed! I'm currently using beastmaster 2000EJ, but the drag and power is not quite enough when hauling in 10kg+ fish. So looking to upgrade to either the Seaborg G300J or G400J. I know you are using G300J as your main, but if you can choose again would you change to G400J or stick with G300J? My local suppliers don't carry them on stock or I can't compare them hands on.

Why not use a rod holder tie to attach the power cord to the rod but to keep from pulling on wire connections?
Why not install a power handle on the reel instead of just a power knob?
The power knob color doesn't match the original reel handle.
A power handle would be longer than the original handle.
A Gomexus power handle would work and look better on the electric reel.

@@JohnnyJigsTV I would like to use this type of reel for chumming for carp fishing. It involves at least 50 casts in a row. I used to do that with a 12 foot carp rod and a spinning reel. Casts are usually 200 to 250 feet. I can't do it anymore because I have developed shoulder problems from excessive reeling. That's why I'm asking about an electric reel.
