- Minecraft 1.16 Snapshot 20W08A has newly released. It gives us amazing Minecraft Nether Updates, with new nether blocks, new nether game mechanics and new nether mobs - So that means we need to do a tutorial on nether builds, tips for building in the nether, and how to be a minecraft nether pro!

Tip: Rather than bringing full golden armor, you can wear gold boots to keep most of your protection but still get the benefits.
That’s absolutely correct! Piglins will become neutral towards you even if you’re only wearing one piece of gold armor.
Another tip though: do not mine gold or open chests near them. This will cause them to become suspicious, and may even cause them to attack you.
while the boots do give you slightly less armor than a helmet, boots have feather falling, and many of the exclusive enchantments on a helmet are only really useful ofr water, not lava or dropping from great heights.

I already have a Village built there, and am moving my base in my spawn chunks to cut down on lag so everything isn't always in loaded chunks.

Going to have to learn about how ghasts spawn. Apparently they need spawnable surfaces, and they'll need a fair bit of space. So just make sure any medium-sized room you make is unspawnable.

Not when using them as turrets! In my experience, they couldn't be less accurate past 8 blocks!
Mumbo has stated that blazes aren’t accurate in his safe house video when he made a blaze turret. I don’t know why he thinks that they are accurate now.

"Nothing should be constructed here." I'm gonna disagree. Bunkers partially inset into the ground in a Soulsand valley will pay for themselves very quickly in safety from the Ghasts.

Another way to relight your portal is by making fire charges. Kill a Wither skeleton for coal, a ghast for gunpowder, and a blaze for a blaze rod to get blaze powder. Mix em up and you've got a 3 use flint and steel :)

About the wool thing - you can still colour-code your circuits, just use something that isn't flammable and that is resistant to ghast projectiles. A nice candidate for this is concrete (or its less saturated cousin, hardened clay.)
Concrete is one of the weakest block you'd better use hardened clay

5:20 one piece of golden armor is enough. Wearing a netherite set and swapping helmet to a gold one is much better - you get all your defence and powerful enchantments, that you really do not want duplicating on a fragile gold armor
Technically, golden boots are better because the only use 4 gold ingots while the golden helmet uses 5 gold ingots.
@@generalcurry Sure, but if you have enchantments on those boots (e.g. feather falling) you lose out on that, which isn't an issue with the helmet

It’s also a pretty good idea to keep a warped fungi on hand. You can use it to repel hoglins, just in case.

Tip: Use an axe instead of a sword when fighting in the Nether. It makes it harder to accidentally attack pigmen.
Or use a smite V axe, which will instakill pigmen if fully ready

Quick tip:
It only takes a single piece of golden armour to stop pigeons from being hostile towards you so you can still wear your other gear in the remaining slots.

You only need one piece of Gold armor to keep Piglins happy. Suggest a set of Gold Frostwalker Bartering Boots to be able to walk around freely on Magma, Depth Strider is useless in the Nether and aside from the Helmet, Gold Boots will give you the least drop in Armor Protection.

When a ghast blows up your only nether portal and you are out of option mentioned in the video to reignite it, you still have 2 options:
1, find a Flint and steel in a chest in a nether fortress and use that.
2, kill a magma cube for a magma ball, a blaze for blaze rods and a wother skeleton for coal, then turn the blaze rod into powder and use the blaze powder + coal + magma ball to craft a fire charge, place that in your portal and you are good to go!

My most embarrassing nether death was, I was in a cheats world with my friend and he had hacked 100 diamond. We were in a fortress and keep inventory was on. I thought: whilst my friend isn’t here, I can throw the diamonds in the lava. I forgot to crouch and walked a little to far... I died. Luckily I managed to throw them in the lava later.

@@zezulin_ You can run straight away from a ghast and he doesn't hit you. But fighting a skeleton you can run away zigzag, jumping, stop, change the direction, make a triple flic-flac and it still snipes you from 100 blocks away.
