@@ricardofalcon7889 it’s one of the main issues with American capitalism. No one is saying that taxing the rich appropriately will solve all economic issues. There are, however, caps on tax incentives that would still encourage smaller business growth and prevent monopolies from taking advantage of them. The point of the American dream is that everyone has the same opportunities for wealth. Monopolies negate that concept. Incentives shouldnt be put in place to be exploited, as the purpose of them is to grow different industries, not help the mega rich avoid taxes. There’s also the issue of minimum wage and who it is truly meant for. Larger businesses exploit people by paying minimum wage which is meant for teenagers with no experience, rather than people with college degrees who have been working for 10 years already. Monopolies exploit the minimum wage AND tax incentives and thus completely exploit capitalism, while smaller businesses cannot compete nor can they afford to pay people a livable wage. These businesses are what tax incentives are supposed to help, not Bezos to make a profit come tax season
It's worrying that Mike (the older conservative) seemed the most reasonable. The two younger conservatives were more polarized, closed-minded, and opinionated. They both escribed to almost exclusively right-wing media sources, and it was apparent.

@Gavin Reed Women not having to enter the draft is a result of the sexist belief that women shouldn't be allowed in the army. Also, plenty of women do pay to get into clubs. Which women don't pay is typically based on attractiveness and is inherently sexist. Male judges typically give women less jail time. In courts with more equal gender distribution there's less disparity in sentences. Everything you listed is a result of sexist stereotypes that, while you could argue they benefit women, are bad. Anybody advocating for gender equality would agree that viewing women as sex symbols incapable of service is wrong.

I think it's stereotypical to judge younger people as less educated and less informed. Its my experience that with aging, open mindedness lessens and personal bias solidifies.
That’s a vast generalization, but by a lessened open mindedness, it calls for a more solidified and developed opinion. Younger people are on average less educated and less informed. Your mind does not develop fully until roughly age 25. You gain wisdom and knowledge as you get older. That’s why you can’t drink, freely drive, vote, or give consent until a certain age. Some people head down the wrong path as they get older, and gain fallacies of wisdom, but others develop through first-hand experience and gain life skills that grow by age.
@@qslasher620 We must remember that by "developed" it is more sementated and solidified. Imagine that you playing with playdough outside in summer time and after 25 whatever you molded can no longer be molded. It’s not necessarily churned through the negative connotation of “personal bias”. I say this because I notice a great portion of our generation (Gen Z) has gotten more entitled and disrespectful towards elders and even parents. Woke side of TikTok has become ridiculous-videos of girls cussing out their parents. Raising a child is a gigantic financial burden in America. “Why do they not have fathers” “Because a lot of women make bad choices about men” Love how it’s still the women’s fault when the male is absent. And ofc there’s lots of factors im not saying it’s always the males fault either. Each situation is completely different and external factors play a big role as well.
The woman has a choice to have sex and the chance for pregnancy, so if she didn't know the male well enough to know he'd stick around, then that's a result of a decision she made. With that said, there are a lot more reasons for father absence and the number 1 contributor to that is gov.

All Johnnie talks about is anecdotal evidence and what he has seen, and in a HUGE world, only believing and forming ideas based off of what you see is close-minded and arguably dangerous.
Most of the stuff he stated are facts. just look up the amount of criminals are raised by single mothers. look at the effects it as on your girls when there is no father in the house hold. look at the mount of kids pretending to be LGBT to fit in. these are all studies you can find everywhere.
@@momar9925 You're mixing up "a missing father" with "a single parent". It's not that a fathers presence specifically means that the child will grow up better, it's if there are at least two parents, that includes 2 dads or 2 mothers, because dual incomes can provide a much higher standard of living and opportunities than a single income. It's not that there's a lack of a father, it's that there's a lack of a second income, resulting in more likely to be in poverty, which increase chances of crime etc.
Plus, no one chooses what their sexuality is, and if they are pretending, why does it matter? The only reason it matters is that being closeted can have negative impacts on an individual, not because your feelings got hurt because someone is pretending to be apart of the LGBTQ community.
@@TheTarco Wrong. A house hold needs a mother and a father. The mother provides care, and affection, and the father also provides care, but mainly protection, discipline, and respect. Iv'e had friends that grew up in a fatherless house, they were more violent, ruthless, and uneasy to be around than friends that had a father role model. And that's because they didn't have a father that disciplined them effectively enough to change their behavior. Mother's aren't as hard on punishments with their kids than fathers because mothers naturally are a lot more easy on their child than fathers. As a liberal young adult, I'm not a fan of cancel culture. I feel like it doesn't fix the problem at the root of why ppl behave the ways that lead them to be canceled & might just push them to increase or continue their behavior out of frustration or create a sort of martyr for like-minded individuals to rally behind & defend
Cancel Culture is like fascism. Getting rid of whatever you don't feel belongs in your ideal society. Cancel Culture steps on democracy and freedom of speech.
I think the major issue is that a lot of people conflate cancel culture with holding people accountable. I understand a lot of young people don’t like cancel culture but as a younger millennial, I was around when cancel culture wasn’t a thing and I can definitely see how it’s helped. The threat of not being able to say something absolutely ridiculous and be called out and potentially lose business or supporters has definitely opened the mind of the public consciousness. It’s allowed people to voice opinions that for a while you were called sensitive for having. You’re more than entitled to having your opinion but I think the issue is more of a semantic one versus cancel culture.
I'm not a fan of cancel culture either because I can't really see how it fixes anything. Especially if people/celebrities/whatnot are being cancelled for things they did or said like 10 years ago... It was a very different world back then and I can with certainty say that most people have learned and gotten educated from those times. Digging up people's past in order to "cancel" them is just bullying
A regular person isn’t subject to cancel culture, you’re subject to the consequences of your actions. All “cancel culture” is about is famous and or wealthy people thinking they should be free from the consequences of their bad behavior and trying to make it seem like some sort of attack when in reality it’s just the CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS.
These kids are really bringing it. It can be so frustrating arguing with parents. Not because they make a better argument, rather they will not concede because they "know better ". I wish I had that confidence at their age

Religion is not bad itself but how it represented is and how it’s reinforced can be toxic and bad for children just like how LBGT community can be. There are many toxic religions group ex west boro bathisit church or for a bad case of LGBT community mother forcing her son to be a daughter when he clearly says no he doesn’t want to be a girl he’s a boy. What he’s trying to say is let kids be kids teach them to be kind and respectful to others that different and let them grow and figure what they want to be.

You're mixing up "a missing father" with "a single parent".

Cancel culture doesn’t exist? The word you’re looking for is Consequences.

Honestly I’m pretty sure most people nowadays don’t have any idea what they are talking about.
Except these teenagers views are all exact talking point as are many states on Jubille comment sections. Doesn’t mean they’re wrong or right - but they’re not original thought out opinions.
notice how everything johnnie says is about himself. “when i was a kid” “well it wasn’t like that for me” “but where i grew up” he cannot hear anything they say because his brain only has the capacity to see his one singular perspective/experience.
not everyone is you, not everyone grew up in your area, there are MANY other experiences than ur one little life
"his brain only has the capacity to see his one singular perspective/experience." you say to dismiss his perspective unironically
Well he did have a 1.9 gpa lmao
Yeah that was extremely frustrating to watch. Anecdotal evidence does not supersede actual data or statistics, nor does it give you a broad enough scope to make sweeping generalizations about groups of people or ideas.
Isn't he meant to talk about his opinion? LOL
@@chrisallum9044 calm down buddy I didn’t dismiss anything, just pointed out his dismissal of anything but his own thoughts. Nothing else so you have no idea what my opinions are at all.
It's funny how Shawn was talking about how LGBTQ is pushed onto children/teens and then he is talking about religion like religious people don't force their views on their children. If anything LGBTQ parents just raise their children to be open-minded.
I see your point, but by teaching children about sexuality so young can unintentionally encourage the children to explore the other “options”, because the concept can be fascinating and exciting to them.
But yes its funny that religious people dont see their own indoctrination strategies happening everyday when they teach their kids religion 😂 thats why the argument boils down to which system of beliefs is better to be indoctrinated into? Or should children not be indoctrinated at all?
@@moderater2.048 you're saying as if that's wrong? The kid might think they're gay, date someone of the same sex and realized they don't want that and just stop
Uhm I think he was equating both as the same thing wasn’t he? Like how easy it is for groups to indoctrinate children😅
@@luisdaniel9542 right, but by simply experimenting with that can eventually push them to believe that they are something they’re not. A while back one of my friends who was 9 at the time started hanging out with a new friend group. I found out a month later that she decided she was lesbian. I had NEVER heard her talk about sexuality before hanging out with that group of friends. Regardless of whether its right or wrong, i genuinely believe she would have never said that had she never met that group of friends. But if you would like to keep defending your stance as if there’s no counter point, i understand that too lol… don’t worry a lot of people do it.
@@moderater2.048 Yea but you grow out of this. At 9, you honestly don’t know what ur doing. So when people talk about it, you get curious. If you’re not a lesbian, you WILL change. Changing religions is extremely difficult though. And that’s coming from a religious person
something i think conservatives need to learn is that freedom of speech isn't freedom from consequences, sure you can say whatever you want, but they doesn't mean everyone has to sit there and let you.
he blamed a fathers absence on women and then followed it up with “every bad choice you make is your responsibility”
Because we all know women are more likely to bend over for the same men that want nothing to do with their child if she gets pregnant. And yes “their” as in her child, because those guys don’t see the child as his. It’s clear geekboys don’t get poon

Shutting down debate is not how debate is supposed to be done.. You're supposed to get people to explain their reasonings then refute them after, not spurt figures without citations.

i find it funny how during the “young people are too sensitive” portion, an argument was “when men can’t be men, society will crumble” bit as if that isn’t the definition of sensitive. no one’s stopping men from being men; we’re just trying to provide a safe space for people to be comfortable with being who they are
