In the third video of our Lockdown Content Campaign, we share with you an acoustic rendition of 'Under The Oak Tree', featuring our session bass player Nicolas Winter. What inspired us to record this particular track was one of the many requests we received: our longtime supporter Steve Harborne has been asking for this one every chance he got (thanks, Steve!). We noticed that quite a few more of you would like to hear this song again, so it seems to be a win-win situation :) Let us know in the comments if you like this new version!

My dog is buried in the yard too. It's very hard to say goodbye. Especially when they've been in the family for a long time. I never expose personal facts here but this song totally touched me. I lost my best friend, she was young but she had a sick person who unfortunately gave her a low life expectancy. This song describes her innocence and her joy of life despite her situation. This song describes how I felt when she left and the last time I saw her I saw in her eyes that I had to let her go. This part of the song and these lyrics break my heart every time 🖤.
I remember when she was gone. The Cellar Darling music was the only thing that ever made me feel good.mostly Under The Oak Tree and Hight Above these Crowns. I dedicate these songs to her 🖤

This is called an E-Bow. The player can create an constant tone with it (like an Bow for a Violin or a Hurdy Gurdy), instead of the picking tone usually known from Guitars and Basses.
