It's mentioned that the character thought the town has a possible drug problem, and that's pronably true. The manager does say he thought he had a sober patron for once, so it could be that he started to expect it, and kept the medicine around to avoid people causing drug-induced issues for the motel. But yeah, I still agree. It definitely gives you the feeling that even though he helps you, he's not necessarily a, "good" guy. Sure, he comes to help once he realizes something is wrong, but to just let the guy go afterward? I understand not wanting the reputation of your business to be affected negatively, but to care more about that than the fact one of your guests was put in serious danger? What if that guy comes back, and tries again with somebody else?
with the logs on the road, thats a kidnapping technique the one mistake was getting out the car and not just speeding back the opposite way, because if someone put those there on purpose, you know they would've jumped you from the side of the road
It would be funny if the driving section at the start (context: i'm reimagining the story right quick) didnt tell you that you had to get out of the car to walk to a place and every time you drove past it the game would loop but ryan doesnt know what to do so the video is just driving for 20 minutes hoping something scary happens
This game is supposedly about different things that actually happened to somebody. If that's really the case, that means there's actually a mf out there who followed a girl out to a motel, planted a coffee machine with drugged coffee in it, watched to see if she'd take any of it, snuck back outside to take the coffee machine when she left, and then BROKE INTO HER ROOM while she was likely still feeling the effects of the drugs. If that girl is out there somewhere, then wherever she is now, I hope she's okay. That's horrifying. And if that guy is out there somewhere, I hope he has the life he deserves. The deepest pits of Hell are waiting for him.
can i just say, as a girl, this is the most frightening game i've ever seen. even just watching Ryan play and debate whether to stop at the gas station or get out of the car at night or even *choosing* to talk to strangers (and giving off info like their name and such), had my heartbeat spike up and me going "no no no STOP what are you DOING not here and NOT at this time of NIGHT are you CRAZY" the eeriness is off the charts, props to developers because *wow* this was frightening

At first, when the manager said "GET TO YOUR ROOM" I saw it as him getting mad. But after hearing the rest of the dialogues, he sounded a bit concerned. It wouldn't be surprising if something like this had happened before, where people would report being drugged by the coffee but he never believed them. Even that he did remark a lot about crazy guests. Maybe it's how OP showed to the exact same spot or something that clicked something in his head. He even was prepared to take the abductor out like he was on alert. Another question I have in mind now is, what did the manager do to the abductor if he wasn't going to call the cops on bim
The abductor was probably one of the "monsters" Jason was talking about. Another comment said this but I think the monster was a recurring issue, and likely attacked multiple guests, as the manager seemed concerned about it and tried to cover it up. I think the manager knocked out the "monster" and threw him out of the house.

These games are incredible the attention to detail is amazing, (SPOILERS) while on the trip you can see one of the men take away the coffee machine! Also before leaving the gas station you can see the man in the van tamper with the car! And in the first episode “Home Alone” you can see the guy creep up the stairs! Great game and great consept of horror as well!

I came here fresh from Jacksepticeye's playthrough and I love the contrast of the two guys. With Sean's, he lets you in the episodes so the atmosphere just oozes in, and because he talks time to time. With Ryan, he talks a lot - probably more than Sean, and it's fine because after Sean's, I want to feel less tense. Also, I love how he addresses the character, as though he's with her the whole time and he's letting us in the experience, too. Looking back, compared to Sean's, I love Ryan's edits that eases the tension (not really but I adore the goofy noises) and makes it less scary. STILL. WHAT THE HELL. HAHAHAHAHA ESPECIALLY HIS PHONE HAAHAHAHAHAHA And I'll be honest, I've seen 8-bitRyan in a lot of Let's Play React Compilation and he just has this warm, gentle, goofy big brother vibe and this is my proper time watching him aside from those compilations. I can see why some people like him :D
The reason room 4 and 9 are connected is that in Japanese rules, they are considered to be bad numbers. "shi" which is 4 literally means death. "ku" Which is 9 is also "Suffering" It's weird though since it doesn't seem to be a Japanese story. There are just no connections to there being a Japanese part of the story at all. The only connection is that the girl presumed to be murdered was Japanese. I don't get why coffee plays into this though. Why is a coffee machine so important.

the truly horrifying part about this is people do legit place things in the road to force people out of their cars, they make you get away from the safety if it and making it to where you cant exape, youd go to mnove the object and boom they either would rob you, kidnap you anything. real advice if you ever see cones in a road that your sure should not be there either run them over ( their just plastic cones) or back up and turun around to find another route. im dead serious this is a very dangerious sichuation ive found my self in, i didnt gwt out tho sence ive taken the road that same day and knew there wasnt anything like work or something going on for there to be cones, so i turned around. im serous be careful and teust your gut if you think something is off even a little bit
As soon as i saw the logs i would have zoomed back to the gas station, putting logs in the road is a common technique that thiefs and the taliban use, thiefs use it to swiftly steal your car when you get out. And the taliban use it as a distraction for a quick and easy ambush.

I think I got the plot , the person at the petrol station would say that you were the monster and don't stop for you , like say for an example you brought something he knew your car would break down , and than say to the next buyer what exactly you looked like and not to stop for you.
