strange game, enjoyable, but strange. I can´t think of another city builder with survival elements that uses water like this. also, it seems like it doesn´t lose the challenge as you grow which is something that affects most games of this type
Hurrray, well done. The irrigation towers are pretty clever, 100% stealing that idea and going to try and farm far away from the river next game. It could be helpful to use priorities and have low prio work like science available so they stay busy when you have to switch off stuff.
If you do a 3x3 water dump then you get the same coverage as the old one tile dump. For my play through on this map I made a levee around the source so I could just dump it over the side during the bad tides. Of course I am on normal not hard mode so I had a bit more time before the bad tide.

Just a warning, I am playing an older version and the water trick has been patched out in the newer versions
