Growing up seeing them run by my house and through town, it's definitely my favorite shortline and I'm glad they kept the same scheme. Considering it's one of the oldest shortlines in the country being run by the same family, I don't think it's going anywhere soon. Also the fact A&R 205 is the last remaining GP7 around that is still being run by the railroad it was bought for really says something about their operation. Idk how long they plan to keep that thing in service before being preserved but I'll get it as much as I'm able to haha
Awesome chase cool catches and nice video
Thanks! Much appreciated
I will be down there soon lol!. Good video "I-boutz"
Thank you sir and you better! 😂
Great video, well done!
Thank you!
My friends dad actually saw 5830 In April sitting near W Main Street by Railside Antiques in Aberdeen
Oh neat!
One of THE best shortline paint schemes ever. I'm glad G&W hasn't taken over this one and ruined it.

never thought id hear A&R with a K5la
You got that right lol. Definitely a change of pace from A&Rs P5s and RS5Ts
Sounds almost exactly like a CSX MAC K5LA
I guess it kinda does haha
Well I guess it's better they went a GP38-2 instead of a GP40-2 because it would mean the demise of more smaller units instead of just one.
Yeah probably. With the grades and tight curves on A&R, I don't think six-axle power would work on the line
@@CaptainJustice166 yeah GP40-2 is also four axle it's just a thousand more horsepower than a GP38-2.
Is 5830 a GP50??
GP38
