What i did was choose the other act option when i ran out of items and hope to god that the one where your entire party is healed comes up. It happened like once for me and i still failed that attempt haha

He has patterns and attacks in the same way every time, but enough of it is randomized in regards to direction and location that it becomes a nightmare to deal with.
The battle is great and manageable with some adjustment, but for me its always: "yeah, I got through the attack without any damage" *gets hit last second *gets the carousel attack next turn *teammate down
If you're going to have to listen to it for that long as you struggle repeatedly to beat a boss that keeps killing you, the music better be damned good. Otherwise listening to bad music that many times over and over will make you crazy.

This and Jevil's animations were the only things keeping me sane during his fight (thaknfully i beat him both by putting him to sleep and by killing him)

Some tips for new players (not protips i suck lol) Obvioisly you have to prepare well. Club sandwich, top cake, etc grab the best healing items you can. Use heal prayer occasionally not all the time but without it you would waste a lot of items. Use puiriette (I have no idea how it is spelled) sometimes. Not too much since it can scramble health bars after a few uses and that always results in death for me if it does happen to you be careful. Keep track of hypnosis you need 10 to win. For the top cake. Use it AFTER his final chaos. Just trust me on this I have died so many times after that attack due to lack of healing. His carrosoul (can't spell that either sorry) attack has no hitbox on the head so abuse that and also use vertical movement more than horizontal. If a character has more then 25 health then defend. Yes it's pretty low considering his damage but it is a waste of healing items to heal above that. Good luck!
Pirouette actually rotates through a fixed set of effects. For instance, every 3rd turn it reduces your I-frames, every 5th turn it does nothing, and every 9th turn it heals your team. You can look it up and take advantage of the pattern by only using it on turns where it helps you.
In all honesty i like when it scrambles hp, ralsei with 110 hp and kris with 90 is nice. Healer has lots most important boi next (kris has more def too
Makes sense actually. Jevil’s stage is revolving. His world is revolving. *_His_* world. Also, did someone notice that there are five unique parts that cycle once it’s looped? The first part is when you see Jevil and you feel a tingle on your back as if he’s dangerous. And he is. The second part is when you start battling where Jevil seems to have fun. But not you. Not at all. The third part is where the fight intensifies. Jevil seems to be not tired at all! “I CAN DO ANYTHING!” The fourth part is where the hilarity-and the difficulty-is amped to 1000. Good luck. The fifth part is the finale where the revolving world is endlessly revolving faster and faster and Jevil’s grin is getting wider and wider, as the battle gets harder and harder and the lunacy gets stronger and stronger chanting “CHAOS! CHAOS!” until he gives up or tires himself. And the rewarding feeling once you defeat him having the scythe or the armor... It fills you with a sense of joy that you’re done fighting that maniacal jester, while having a reward after it.

This boss was just so good! Intriguing character, powerful yet readable moves, a HELLA COOL THEME SONG (that really expresses "revolving" and the whole "chaotic carousel of fate" thing). JUST difficult enough to make me break a sweat, but really enjoyable. Totally beatable in two tries, BUT! WHAT AWESOMENESS THOSE TWO TRIES WERE!!
@@kauekairony990 well, it's all a matter of dodging those couple moves... for example, "hearts" attacks are avoided by constantly moving up and down across the screen. For "devil's knife" just spin along with the sickles at the borders of the screen. suring the turns, just ACT and HYPNOTIZE when you have all the characters alive (or defend if you don't have enough tp) and ALWAYS heal up the dead characters ESPECIALLY RALSEI!! of course, you'll have to get your inventory full of items like top cake, revive mint, and LOTS of roulxl'sroulxs. Most importantly, NEVER GIVE UP!

I can't stop, this song keeps playing inside my head even when I am not listening to it! It's there at work, it's there at home, it's there when I am listening to other music! IT'S IN MY DREAMS!! I LOVE THIS SONG!! DAMN YOU, TOBY!! Jevil was a lot of fun to fight! It took me a few tries, but it was damn worth the time it took to beat him.
RUclips's algorithms make results unique for everyone, unless you went incognito to check that. For me, Megalovania doesn't even break the top ten, but normally it is indeed number 4, and has the 7th result as well. Jevil is currently 8th, but that could have changed since you posted of course.
My favorite enemy. Love how hard and chaotic the fight is, the voice lines become annoying, but somehow, I find the annoyance itself appealing. Like I know he's messing with me, he's tough, he hits hard and takes a few tries, asks you to play smartly and understand how to fight him. Kinda made me want to break my pacifist run, hit him a few times, still ended up pacifying him. Fun boss altogether

In my first run of the game I found him locked in the cell thinking maybe he was some huge disgusting looking monster, but I later found out that I needed key pieces to unlock the cell, but it was too late, I came to the end of the game, I was back in the overworld. Days later, I got curious and went back on that same save file, and there it was, this.... strange world, rather than the one you begin with. So I knew what I had to do. Get the three key pieces, and ya yeet this dude's life into a bitter hell... Instead, he was some scrawny jester that beat my ass several times, and I still have yet to win.

Interestingly enough I beaten him in likely 100 attempts but wasn't as hard as Sans who was something like 1000 which taken me a couple of months I think... But I was doing genocide against jevil when I first beat them and then beaten jevil on the pacifist run my first try...
I beat him on my third attempt... I used a strat of prioritizing keeping Susie and goat boi alive, bc I just didn't have enough hp healing potential to keep the group of 3 alive. Rip Kris.

Un canal inactivo it’s to throw you off. His character is meant to fall under the “chaotic evil” category. To him, it’s fun and games. To the player, it’s utter hell dealing with his revolving attacks.
I actually LOVED this boss battle. It just seemed challenging but not unfair. And the fact that the attacks were randomized made it all 300% better, as I hate muscle memory - based fights (that's why I never even got to the second phase of Sans)
I think he is between sans and undyne the undying, because he is random in some places, whereas sans is all memory, i feel like after beating both that i could 1 try sans if i was put back into it because vietnam flashbacks, but i doubt i could do that with Jevil because i feel like the first and only time i beat him was luck
It took me like 7 tries to actually beat sans and 4 to beat jevil. I actually found jevil far more frustrating because of the way that he mixes up and shut like that. Would rather fight sans as I could beat him in one go now.
i saw thumbnails of jevil on youtube but didn't think he was added to the game yet (since i already played through chapter 1) then i find key piece c, and im like "what the hell is this for?" after getting piece b im randomly looking for piece a and give up, and decide to just backtrack through the castle before fighting the king again.........then find an elevator with level "????????" then once jevil tells me to find the last piece from the "old shopkeeper" i realize the key was for this and once i see him on screen i think "OH HE WAS IN THE GAME!!!!!! (wait how'd i figure out how to get the pieces without knowing this side quest existed????)
I actually think Jevil meant Gaster, and he made him cursed. He said "Life is just a game." And it drove him crazy, same with Sans and Flowey. Except, Sans can control his insanity, so Sans definitely knows what the hell Gaster is, and Flowey I can kinda get. He knows because he's SOULless, so maybe if you have a soul, you can survive with the knowledge and not experience insanity the ways Flowey and Jevil did. So does that mean Gaster is soulless?
The shop keeper said. "He thinks life is a game." Sans knows resets, so it's possible that he knows that it's a game. Flowey also knows how to manipulate saves, so he probably knows it's a game, but why tell that to someone that knows already?

This boss was just so good! Intriguing character, powerful yet readable moves, a HELLA COOL THEME SONG (that really expresses "revolving" and the whole "chaotic carousel of fate" thing). JUST difficult enough to make me break a sweat, but really enjoyable. Totally beatable in two tries, BUT! WHAT AWESOMENESS THOSE TWO TRIES WERE!!
...I'd estimate I'm on try 10.

@@kauekairony990 well, it's all a matter of dodging those couple moves... for example, "hearts" attacks are avoided by constantly moving up and down across the screen. For "devil's knife" just spin along with the sickles at the borders of the screen. suring the turns, just ACT and HYPNOTIZE when you have all the characters alive (or defend if you don't have enough tp) and ALWAYS heal up the dead characters ESPECIALLY RALSEI!! of course, you'll have to get your inventory full of items like top cake, revive mint, and LOTS of roulxl'sroulxs. Most importantly, NEVER GIVE UP!

My favorite enemy. Love how hard and chaotic the fight is, the voice lines become annoying, but somehow, I find the annoyance itself appealing. Like I know he's messing with me, he's tough, he hits hard and takes a few tries, asks you to play smartly and understand how to fight him. Kinda made me want to break my pacifist run, hit him a few times, still ended up pacifying him. Fun boss altogether

In my first run of the game I found him locked in the cell thinking maybe he was some huge disgusting looking monster, but I later found out that I needed key pieces to unlock the cell, but it was too late, I came to the end of the game, I was back in the overworld. Days later, I got curious and went back on that same save file, and there it was, this.... strange world, rather than the one you begin with.
So I knew what I had to do. Get the three key pieces, and ya yeet this dude's life into a bitter hell...

Interestingly enough I beaten him in likely 100 attempts but wasn't as hard as Sans who was something like 1000 which taken me a couple of months I think... But I was doing genocide against jevil when I first beat them and then beaten jevil on the pacifist run my first try...

I spent two and a half hours on this clown. Not as much as I spent on Sans, but I think this one was more infuriating.
I actually LOVED this boss battle. It just seemed challenging but not unfair. And the fact that the attacks were randomized made it all 300% better, as I hate muscle memory - based fights (that's why I never even got to the second phase of Sans)

I think he is between sans and undyne the undying, because he is random in some places, whereas sans is all memory, i feel like after beating both that i could 1 try sans if i was put back into it because vietnam flashbacks, but i doubt i could do that with Jevil because i feel like the first and only time i beat him was luck
It took me like 7 tries to actually beat sans and 4 to beat jevil. I actually found jevil far more frustrating because of the way that he mixes up and shut like that. Would rather fight sans as I could beat him in one go now.
i saw thumbnails of jevil on youtube but didn't think he was added to the game yet (since i already played through chapter 1) then i find key piece c, and im like "what the hell is this for?" after getting piece b im randomly looking for piece a and give up, and decide to just backtrack through the castle before fighting the king again.........then find an elevator with level "????????" then once jevil tells me to find the last piece from the "old shopkeeper" i realize the key was for this and once i see him on screen i think "OH HE WAS IN THE GAME!!!!!! (wait how'd i figure out how to get the pieces without knowing this side quest existed????)

I actually think Jevil meant Gaster, and he made him cursed.

Except, Sans can control his insanity, so Sans definitely knows what the hell Gaster is, and Flowey I can kinda get.
He knows because he's SOULless, so maybe if you have a soul, you can survive with the knowledge and not experience insanity the ways Flowey and Jevil did. So does that mean Gaster is soulless?
