Awesome truck and an awesome job! I would love to do that job! That would be as fun as being in the Marines only I'd get to play with bulldozers and big trucks!! Very cool! Hoorah!! Bruce
Pretty good, but I feel that military surplus chassis are the most cost-effective, though I guess you never said that this isn't. I like that the main water cannon is up high, but does it have the longest range available? in order to wet places that you cannot go? Also, the on Highway top speed limitation might make it slow or difficult to go on highway to fetch more water. It does look more cost-effective than aircraft, even military surplus aircraft. Military surplus conversion could become big business if President Warren shifts budgets from military to climate change. Firefighting is one of the best plowshares around. Tanks could regain their double meaning!
Should have forestry tires only thing id do is put forestry tires on it .i can prodict it like a rock in mud and brish youll have lot of flats i have troble in woods with regular tractor tires on powe lines in forestry you need forestry tires
They can also use many configurations of the monitors and nozzles on it to create a water curtain around it. Besides the hose reel you can also attach any number of hose lines.
Neat rig, but with the amount of fuel in the forests today, I don't know if any firefighting efforts help much. If the fuel is present, it's going to burn.
Its a converted Norwegian off road dump truck, called Moxie. Owned by Mickey Mamau. Colville Washington.
nice brush truck, we would have to have a D5 to clean all the roads up so this rig could access the back country though
im a capt of a vol fire department I sure wish I had this truck It would save a lot of work
one hell of a firetruck!
Beautiful trucks

Look at Volvo Off-Road dump trucks, I think this is the chassis they used.

I WANT ONE !
Have you sent it out on any jobs yet?
Many
It is a good idea except for the need for a lowboy trailer to deploy it. I really like the skidgine concept, but how do you make them roadway legal?
well, most significant fires, a lowboy is used to send a dozer anyhow
@@joek0617 I figure the reason this isn't taking off is because of the need to heavy haul it. The smaller FMC's are more "comfortable" I guess.
Its ONLY for off road.
SUPPER is when you eat.
So in 7 mins you can empty the tank
Add foam to lengthen time.
Was thinking the same thing. Perhaps a tanker trailer, say 10,000 gals?
Sir Los Angeles City & County Fire Department's Need That
Should have a tirer cat bogie skider with same set up
Big $ machines dont always work a lot on wet years. Its a gamble. Takes deep pockets.
Supper, eh?

He stays mostly on good roads.
Now your talking !
350 gprm so its literaly empty in 5 min
This is problem
all vol fire department needs that
do you have a hose to cover the truck in a fire.. then its worthess
The answer is YES, there's a 250 ft. booster reel hose in the rear of the tank on the right side... it's visible in the video and is mentioned also.
They can also use many configurations of the monitors and nozzles on it to create a water curtain around it. Besides the hose reel you can also attach any number of hose lines.
Pay attention to the video next time before you comment, smh
The Australians use more than a water spray

You guys need to start looking for investors. Climate change is real. These will be needed all over the world.
Need more speed.
No speed needed on woods roads. Lowboy hauls it as close as possible.

Marstrand R. it needs to burn
@@ryanbbew4947 Homes too?
It needs forestry tires
The tank could be a lot bigger.
