Great episode Paul, Katie and Jasper, it brings back some memories. I last travelled across the Nullabor plains in 1984, we stayed at Nullarbor Homestead one night, then Kalgoorlie the following night then onto family in Bentley Perth before returning home to Casino, NSW. Our youngest child was then 3 years old. Children just love this kind of travel.
Hi Paul, Katie & Jasper. We have watched all of your episodes from the beginning. You do a lot of research, the info is succinct and valuable, we watch your vids multiple times to plan our trip up north. We do watch other RUclips caravanning families and find your one on the VERY best- well researched, succinct, present the info on camera professionally, music choice is fine, drone footage is great, & you don’t blab on and on and on. QUESTION 1: What do you do to interact/connect/be part of the locals/the old timers/the indigenous? To hear their stories, & relay them to us. There is a lot of focus on US enjoying our time. When I travel I always have a conversation with people/townsfolk. QUESTION 2: Time permitting talk more about the Ce-Fi Booster by Nextivity. From your help we installed a Cel-Fi GO G31 model for our trip up north. Perhaps talk about having a second set of 2 antennas in the caravan (tho you already answered this question via PM). Cheers Allan & Jaya.
Mmmmm, I think the budgie might be UNDER that pile of Memorial Rocks !!!!!! 😂😂. He either didn't get to see SA or WA, depending on which way his hosts were travelling !!!. Great episode again, love the new intro's and the temperature checks shown, very innovative. Thanks for sharing, take care, stay safe, and enjoy Tassy again, Cheers.
Big Kev! Great to hear from you and hope all is well! Hahaha you’re probably right…was definitely one of the stranger things we saw on the Nullabor 😆 thanks so much for your feedback and support as always 🙏
Hey Katie, Paul and Jasper, another fantastic episode. We don't have any questions but wanted to give a shout out to say what huge fans we are are and we really look forward to seeing your first live stream. Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing you tomorrow night. Ben and Sharon Oxley 😊👍
Hi from Ceduna, sounded like you had Lee on your fruit fly stop :) Have recently found you guys and loving your videos. We are in the process of trying to prepare for a trip, looking into upgrading our van etc at the moment. Will hopefully hit the road in the next 12 months. Happy and safe travelling ❤️
Q&A. Quick run down of equipment you use to record your adventures, drone, cameras, dashcam and what editing program do you use to put it together as will be heading off for 2 yrs in about 6 weeks and this is still part of puzzle to finalise 👍😃
Love the episode - especially the Nallarbor Numph - what an amazing story! Q&A: 1. What do you do in areas where there is no mobile reception? Do you use a signal enhancer? 2. When travelling around Aus, do you think vehicle insurance with roadside assistance is essential? 3. How long in advance to you plan your travels/episodes? 4. What is your one “must have” pantry item?
Great video loved learning about where you stopped travelling across the Nullarbor. Enjoy Tassie and look forward to your adventure next week. Keep safe and happy travels. Xxx
Q&A 1. How much time do you spend filming and editing for your weekly episodes? 2. What are your top 5 must haves for caravan travelling? Looking forward to your Tassie travels.
Loved tonight's video. Looking forward to following your Tassie trip. We're booked to sail on March 6 for four months. Haven't really planned an itinerary so looking forward to watching which direction you head from Devonport. Can't wait for next Sunday's live broadcast! Stay safe and well. 😊😊
Great episode, many memories of the Nullarbor for us. Rode it a motorcycles twice. You did have me worried when you parked up for your free camp on the Bunda Cliffs. Way to close to the edge. Have had a couple of collapses here in Victoria recently. Enjoy Tassie.
Oh wow, crossing the Nullarbor on a motorbike would be amazing! We made sure to leave plenty of space from the cliff edges…not quite as game as other campers 😬
@@TheFeelGoodFamily Hopefully our next trip will be with our caravan, I would like to do it again with our bikes. First time in 2010 to Albany on two wheel cruisers. Then again in 2015 on our Can-am Spyders, to Kalgoorlie. I had a white one back then. Now have the red F3 Spyder.
Hi Michelle, thank you! Yeah wasn’t it great to see the lightening and trucks rolling in! Oh wowsers, that’s up there alright! Although the location is 👌
Awesome to have you guys here in Tassie with us! Here are some Q&A questions: 1. You guys seems to very rarely do free camping, even for overnighters. Is there any reason for that? 2. How do you guys get through your grumpy days or moments, days when you all just need some time out, unless of course you are always happy? (Having only 1 kid is an obvious bonus in not having to deal with fighting/arguing kids). And if you happen to be in the Tamar Valley region, drop us a line, we'd love to show you some of our favourite spots. I (Dwayne) used to work with Nikk M. so she can vouch for me. Ha!
When I was 6 we drove from Adelaide to Perth in our Holden HQ campervan. The year was 19789. I have a receipt somewhere, from a petrol station in Norseman for LPG at 8 cents a litre!
Being an ex-member of WA Police Major Crash, vehicle crashes between the Boarder Village and Kalgoorlie are a regular occurrence. Majority caused by fatigue, wheels just moving onto the gravel verge, with driver over reacting, reefing the steering wheel then its all over. I attended to many fatalities and serious crashes along there. You stay safe and secure.
Hey guys, Looks like your all well. Love the vid great footage and tunes. Well done👍 Guys do me a favour when you get to Tasmania and find me the biggest juciest oyster. So want to go down there. Best wishes guys😎
Hi Wayne, hope you’re doing great! Sorry for the slow reply, and hope you’ve been enjoying the Tassie series. Best oysters we’ve had so far are at Melshell near Swansea on the east coast, amazing!! 👌
Also a trick I have seen and you could use for future livestreams; when asking people to submit questions I suggest you request the comment starts with "Q&A:" that way you can clearly differentiate Livestream questions from general comments.
Question for you. What are your rookie first time mistakes, if you don't mind answering? 🙂 Thank you, loving the videos. We haven't brought our first van yet. So trying to research as much as possible. Regards Marie.
Hi Marie, great question! We’ve made a few of them, in fact we still say “rookie mistake” 2 years in! Will talk about some of the biggies on the livestream this Sunday 👍
Check out Old Mac's Farm in Launnie to stay for a couple of nights. A great caravan park with farm animals for Jasper to play with and feed. Also a lake to fish in and the chef will cook your catch. Trust me on this one. My wife and I will join you for brekky at the restaurant there that overlooks the park.
Hi Dave, thanks for the great suggestion! Your timing is unreal as we were just told about Old Mac’s by someone else today. Will definitely check it out 😊👍
Will you be heading down to Strahan? We loved it there and really enjoyed being a part of Australia's longest running play - The Ship that never was. The audience involvement was a lot of laughs.
Hi there guys question for nxt weeks live stream we are looking at full time travel soon and wondering what do you do for mail licenses insurance etc with no fixed address Love watching your adventures each week 🙂
We have been following your videos to Tasmania as we are doing this trip in March 2023. We are presuming you have to dispose of them before you get there. We are loving your videos, stay safe and happy travels Regards Bill and Sylvia Hultink
Question for the Live Stream: Hi guys, we enjoy following your journeys. Do you expect there will be a point in time when you will have a need and hankering for the normal, stable, stay-put lifestyle, especially as Jasper reaches schooling age?
Do you have a map of Australia showing where you have been? Driving across the Nullabor is an amazing experience. How long will you be In Tasmania and which way will you go after Tasmania
Q&A The Info you provide about travelling in a caravan is so valuable to retired "grey nomad's", who don't usually watch youtube, how do you reach this group of people? Might be a real opportunity to expand your audience reach!
Question for the Livestream: From Connie... We love the music accompanying your videos ! How do you choose the music, get it onto the video and do you have to pay for it ??
