Some good lyrics there at the end. Hell shouldn't draw me closer to heaven. Death shouldn't pull me closer to faith. That is really profound to think about our motivation for living for Jesus. Is it solely because we are afraid of Hell or is it because we truly love Him who set us free from the chains of sin and death. And to have that eternal relationship with Him. This song will certainly be on the playlist to come back to as a reminder. Good to have those types of songs. Keep up the good work Fit For a King.
"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28). Fear of God's wrath and justice against sin (hell) is a healthy motivation for a Christian to love and fear God, as Jesus clearly taught. We love him for his grace in our lives knowing that we deserve hell and would be put there justly if it wasn't for Jesus in his infinite mercy.
@cuttto theheart That is such a true statement. God is one who can destroy us and we do love him for his grace and mercy as we don't get what we deserve and we get what we don't deserve. I was just trying to bring out the point that if our only motivation is because of a fear of a God who can send us to hell then we will never enter in to that intimate relationship with him that he longs to be in with us. We will always be afraid that if we do something could that be the thing that he can't forgive and we are doomed to hell. My motivation for living for God is that I want to know Him more and more on a deeper level. To know him as I am known. Do I have a reverent fear of Him of course but I also know that through Jesus I am his child and that I am part of his family. I think what hit me about this song is that sometimes we can get out of balance with God where we see Him in the wrong way. Those words just hit me and made me think about my motivation. Anyway good words and thanks for sharing.
@safeharborpro I couldn't agree with you more. These reminders as insignificant and trivial they might look in the eyes of others, to me THIS, is what keeps me moving forward. Never forgetting my roots and who is my reason for being alive. I have what I have and I am who I am thanks to him. Thank you, for sharing such a thorough analysis.
Got to see them live about a week ago and when that breakdown came everyone was headbanging and the moshpit was wild. Thanks for the great show and music guys, God bless.
jamminkeys Ye noticed that, don't know if the videomaker made a mistake or if we quite all misheard the lyrics from the beginning... I'd rather take the "death/faith" sentence, more pertinent and so much more emotional.
When I listen to the part that says "will I rise" I want to yell it off the top of my lungs. Great song to either reflect on or work out with. Gotdamn guys some of your jams are SICK AF!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘 Plus that sick breakdown, I wish it were longer. 🤣🤣
I feel the Flames surrounding my heart Watching my soul being torn apart.26 years I've been digging my grave climb in the tower of pain. When my heart no longer beats what will I see....
Seriously Underrated band man love these guys since i headr bitter end so frecking awesome riffs and idk why but every song has a twist so it doesnt feel i listen to the same song all over again and this is in metalcore way to often... FFaK is really a good band cant wait for more...
It's "Death shouldn't pull me closer to faith." The people that made the lyric video messed it up. Though it's surprising to me that Solid State didn't catch it.
Soul of Cinder during the build-up to the final breakdown.... "Hell shouldn't draw me closer to heaven, fear shouldn't pull me closer to fate" The 2nd line should read: "Death shouldn't pull me closer to faith"
*"Hell shouldn't draw me closer to Heaven [Death] shouldn't pull me closer to [faith]" Who the fuck edited this out of the written lyrics? Trying to not be offensive? You can hear crystal clear what the correct wording is, at least if you have studio-quality headphones...
John Doe That's my point. Say you are christian and glorify Christ are completely different things. I don't see any heavy band glorifying Christ nowadays.
More like TOWER OF GAIN. ‘Cause this is goin’ on the gym playlist.
Get those GAINZ bro!
That's so dumb but I like it
All of Dark Skies is my gym playlist and its hyyyyype

It is a great message.
1:53 I just love breakdowns like that
Fit for a king! This band is really fit for the kings!
My hype is off the charts
Same bro 🤘
Likewise
These guys are gonna be stacking bodies at their shows for sure
One of my favorite tracks on the album. It's heavy, yet incredibly emotional with very good lyrical content.
Got to see them live about a week ago and when that breakdown came everyone was headbanging and the moshpit was wild. Thanks for the great show and music guys, God bless.
"fear shouldn't pull me closer to fate" = "death shouldn't pull me closer to faith"?
jamminkeys Ye noticed that, don't know if the videomaker made a mistake or if we quite all misheard the lyrics from the beginning... I'd rather take the "death/faith" sentence, more pertinent and so much more emotional.
Ray Mejia Sure man I totally agree with you
jamminkeys yeah bro idk why solid state always gets lyrics wrong. There are some wrong in backbreaker too
Fantastic lyrics: "Hell shouldn't draw me closer to heaven. Fear shouldn't pull me closer to fate."
it actually should be 'faith' and not 'fate'. the video is wrong.
Absolutely phenomenal. Boo ya!

That ending made me want to jump into the pit of pain!!

Seriously Underrated band man love these guys since i headr bitter end so frecking awesome riffs and idk why but every song has a twist so it doesnt feel i listen to the same song all over again and this is in metalcore way to often... FFaK is really a good band cant wait for more...
I swear I hear Kirby say "faith" and not "fate". Does anyone else hear it, or am I mistaken? 3:25
It's "Death shouldn't pull me closer to faith." The people that made the lyric video messed it up. Though it's surprising to me that Solid State didn't catch it.
Awesome.
God bless heal and forgive you

2:34 🤝
Awesome Breakdown
I crowd surfed this song tonight 😂😂😂
I see my death before me and the path is cold and dark!
Que banda Zika meus amigos.
3:35, I think it's suppose to be 'death' and not 'fear'.
nice video 👌
Thought it said “I hear the whisper of death in my ear, hell is safe for thousands of years.” 🤔
great video
Que musicão!
Are there subtle changes in this mix? It sounds better than the original upload somehow.
I'm everywhere.
Did a drum cover for this song on my account!
SolidState doesn't know the lyrics to their own band??
I don't think Solid State makes these themselves.
What's wrong?
Soul of Cinder during the build-up to the final breakdown....
"Hell shouldn't draw me closer to heaven, fear shouldn't pull me closer to fate"
The 2nd line should read: "Death shouldn't pull me closer to faith"
Ohh, I realized that after I commented that lol tbh, but thanks anyways 😂
He said Faith, not fate.
The ending sounds very close to the end of Hostage by Cheslea Grin
Isn't the lyric "death shouldn't pull me closer to faith"?
Should've added the BLEGH to the lyrics.
Had to do a double and tripe take, thought they did add it
*"Hell shouldn't draw me closer to Heaven
[Death] shouldn't pull me closer to [faith]"
Who the fuck edited this out of the written lyrics?
Trying to not be offensive?
You can hear crystal clear what the correct wording is, at least if you have studio-quality headphones...
the lyrics are incorrect....
Are they really christian? Hard to find these type of bands (ultra heavy + christian) nowadays.
Are you kidding me there is a bunch of em
Syco Fire impending doom lol
John Doe That's my point. Say you are christian and glorify Christ are completely different things. I don't see any heavy band glorifying Christ nowadays.
Check out Wolves at the Gate. They have some bangers.
Grave Declaration glorifies God, it's Symphonic Black Metal though, still good Imo 🤘🕇
it's like BMtH except the guy can actually scream. dont @ me.
First comment I dunno what this is... Oh shit it's screamo someone help me
MegaStormfury FFAK. They’re a Christian hardcore band.
MegaStormfury what was the point of your comment ? And what’s screamo?
Definitely not screamo kid lol
Syco Fire THATS what I’m sayin. Like damn people... screamo isn’t even a genre. It’s something people made up that don’t understand this genre
@@AirRedbox screamo is a genre, early 2000s post hardcore with hints of punk and "poppy" clean hooks
This Is Supposed To Be ✝️ 🎶/Christian Music, Not Satan Music Dang
