Good review! I was considering this speaker because of the magnet but doesn't seem worth it. I would check out the UE Boom or Wonderboom as an alternative. No magnet but very durable and can be used pretty much anywhere.
Y would you want your music blasting loud as fuck while you're playing golf?? You only need it while driving the Cart haha. Only terrible golfers listen to loud music on the course. This speaker is awesome for what it is.
Here's the thing about this and other golf speakers. They are specifically designed to direct sound in a single direction so as not to disrupt other players. Otherwise, you could bring a Bose Bluetooth speaker and bother everyone.
Judge the sound of the speaker through a phone recording to whatever sound you are using isn't really a good measurement of how it actually sounds live - hence my objective opinion.
I disagree. I have to point the speaker away from inside the cart because it’s so loud. It’s so great I bought a second one to pair and they are the loudest speakers on the course.

speaker is good for golf, just a big miss on the micro usb charger opposed to usb c
