Hi guys, enjoying your videos. A question for your q&a. Why did you choose to move to Melbourne over other cities in Australia and what was the visa application process like? Have you experienced any culture shocks?
Amazing content guys! 😊 Thanks for inspiring us, we're seriously considering the move to Oz from the UK. Q&A: How difficult was it to find a rental property? Also, what made you two take the decision to move from the UK? 😅
Heys, guys. Loving your new apartment. Very flash. How did you go with the heat on Monday? It was epic. Was your electricity on for the air conditioning? Great video. Have a good one. 👍🤘🤘🤘
Well, I certainly don't need to tell you about the River Light Show, since you've already been. Coming up rapidly are the New Years Eve Fireworks, which others have mentioned. Look up the City of Melbourne NYE fireworks website and work out where you want to be at midnight, because there will be 400,000 people trying to do the same thing. Probably Docklands, if you're coming from St Kilda on the tram. If that's too intense, you could see the NYE fireworks from Williamstown, downstream on the Yarra, almost certainly another part of Melbourne you haven't experienced yet, and allegedly with the best fish and chips in the metro area on The Strand. Good views, fewer people. Or Footscray Park, where they have their own completely separate [but excellent] fireworks. Before then, the Crown Hotel [not the casino but the adjacent hotel] has an excellent Christmas display, in the building just next to where you were in this video, which ends on Christmas Eve. Check out the animated Santa!
If you promise not to tell 450,000 other people the best kept secret is William Barak Bridge ( 'the talking bridge' coming from the G. He's the same guy on the side of the building near the Market. Trude and Ed, yep this bridge talks and sings to you). You can see all the fireworks in every direction and it never gets busy... Ssshhhhhhh. 😂

Within the CBD (central business district, aka city centre) trams are free.
As below!
