My experience was good overall in the Battlefords - although I wasn't exploring at night and I'm not discounting crimes that do happen there. Just wanted to do a brief video overview as a regular tourist taking some video. It was an interesting experience getting to know the Battlefords a bit. I'd appreciate your recommendations on other cool stuff in this area. Thanks for watching!
My good buddy's brother landed here. My buddy told his brother, "just start driving West and see what happens". His bother landed a job in North Battleford. I think he's still there and it isn't a big town so I'm being light on names and details. His porch cam videos are great. He stopped sharing them on YT when someone from a video knocked on his door to tell him to take the videos down.
Thanks for watching , glad you're enjoying the channel - actually I plan on doing a couple Moose Jaw videos in the spring when I visit southern SK. Cheers!
Yeah it's not bad, it was pretty interesting exploring this area. I'd driven though many times on the way to Saskatoon/Regina but only stopped for gas. Cheers
These videos are great. I liked this one too. October is a great time to go to Finlayson Island. The trees are beautiful. However, it does take time to walk around it. I have never felt unsafe there. Bring a little picnic and some hand sanitizer. There is an old-fashioned outhouse in the picnic area. There is no plumbing on the island.
Crime in Canada is rather odd. A lot of homeless in the states are really regular dudes. They don't have much of a social safety net there so it's not that hard to fall, and fall fast. Many are there because they got bankrupted by a medical procedure. In canada I find is usually either snotty white collar kids who have never had any real consequences or people with serious, serious issues. One of the worst places I've ever seen was east hastings in van city. I've explored tijuana and never did I see a place as bad as east hastings. That place looks like something from the walking dead. The battlefords have a lot of first nations people who are struggling.
I have lived in northern sask 19 years. Everything north of saskatoon is literally lawless and your safety is 100% your own problem. Lots of great people here too... and they do not advertise.
@Strange North would you be willing to hear about the church from someone who left it? He has insight that should be shared and he would be a key resource.

Can you please make a video focusing on Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan? By the way, I'm a great fan of the channel. Keep up the great work.🙂
