Hello Family... Thank You for your delightful Video Contribution! You helped bring back so many wonderful memories! I Loved my years in AZ! I was in the Air Force and attached to Luke AFB in Glendale, today, a suburb of PHX. I was a team member of our Dettachment that established a Radar Site in Holbrook, northern AZ. Today, I'm feeling "The*Call" to Return to AZ as a Snowbird or Full*Time! ... and, perhaps, to Sedona! Blessings*SharonZ WA
So being that it was labor day weekend it was really packed, we had to stay an extra day to make it to sliderock. It was amazing, can't wait to go back.
Thank you very much for your video. I happily subscribed and liked. It helped me a lot to plan the trip to the western USA, I didn't know about the place, your explanation is excellent, including the apple trees!!! I wish you many more trips and success with the RUclips channel 🍏
Be careful with your kids....I got hurt very badly at 11-years-old going down slide rock after being pressured by my father to slide down and I almost broke my tailbone, it was extremely painful!
I appreciate your warning as I have kids and don’t want them or I to get hurt. Ignore the rude & condescending comments. Life’s too short to be rude to others when they are just trying to be helpful to families.
I agree, I’ve seen parents pressuring their kids to do things they were afraid off… I’d never do that to my child. Instead I like to let him explore at his pace.
Hi Michelle! When we were there, we were not allowed to pick apples. However, I believe they have a special apple harvest festival in the fall where people can pick the apples from the orchards!
I know I'm late to the party 9 months later Lol but if you haven't found out yes you can bring pets but not in the swim areas & leashed at all times. I just looked it up, I was wondering the same thing.
I was on a bicycle trip from the Grand Canyon to Nogales in October 1986 with more than a hundred other riders. I had paired with a buddy and we happened on Slide Rock. That was before it was a state park. There were 2 kids repeatedly riding the slide. After watching them a few times and getting some pointers from the kids, I rolled over and took the ride. My buddy took a picture as I crawled out. That evening when we joined up with the other riders, we discovered that I was the only person in the group who made that stop along the way. It was one of many highlights on that trip.
I was just in Sedona at the end of August and it rained every afternoon (monsoon season) but was beautiful each morning. Seems like August would be a good time to check out this park then. Next year! Thanks :)
July, but October will be amazing! Water will be cold but it won’t be so hot outside. We also got lucky as the summer can bring heavy monsoons to this part of AZ.

Awesome! Let us know what you think. Hope you have the best trip!!
does it hurt your butt when you slide down? i went when i was a kid, about 30 yrs ago and i remember it scraped us up bad.
Yes, especially when the flow is a bit more intense! But there were some smaller rapids upstream that were way more chill.
I tore my ACL on those slippery rocks.
Are you allowed to pick apples

How long of a walk is it to slide rock from the parking lot? Awesome video by the way great job!
It’s a short walk, about 1000ft from the parking lot.
Nc got a much bigger slide
No pets allowed? Did you see anyone take their fur babies?

You do realize you are part of the crowd as well? 😆
You’ve never gone anywhere huh? It’s key to get places early
Much more open
@@ManBolo5432 You don’t get my point. You cant complain about avoiding crowds when you are part of the crowd. It’s so entitled.

Went there back in 1969 an 1970. No was around. That's when it was great. Land was 100 dollars an acre.

We love Sedona, Arizona
Hi, is this pet friendly?.
Thank you!
I went here back before covid hit and it was truly amazing and I’m going back soon
Are there bathrooms close to the actual Rapids?
I would say about 1/4 mile walk up to bathrooms from the creek.
I have to visit
Yes! It’s so beautiful and fun!
