Scam call centers like this one are actively targeting potential victims with scripts focused on things like: microsoft refund scam, ssn scam, gift card scam and even crypto scams. They ask to connect to your computer and even want to gain access to your webcam and bank account.
My hope is that by watching the videos on my channel you can become more aware of their tactics, and get a chance to laugh along the way!

The second scammer he connected to seemed a lot more reasonable in trying to comfort who he thinks is an old lady, except we all know that was a likely front to pull off a scam of his own or at least screw over his competition

The language barrier could be at play, but also, yes they are ridiculously desperate so it’s probably both.
I know I've said this before, but it's much better like this, when they don't know they've been counter-scammed, than when you tried, futilely, to give them a moral lesson. They're beyond that anyway. Better to just mess with them and waste their time.

Exactly. Go after them! It’s horrible what they are doing. There’s got to be a way to find them. Gift cards have no trace so that’s their “go to”. Everything else will have a paper trail. They make me sick 🤮 - stealing people’s money.
Nah, we just pave the way for them to buy all our convenience stores with huge tax breaks, which ironically adds up to about what a scammer would make in income.

It's alarming when you think about how there are a seemingly unlimited amount of these scam call centers, to the point where heroes like Kit have made a full time job out of preventing them from scamming others.
Luckily it's so obvious that only a small number of people must fall for this bs. The most blatant scam there never has been.

@@cedricvelarde I tend to buy gift cards for online gaming, to prevent using my debit cars number. Every place I purchase from has signs near the gift cards describing different scams.
This is a funny vid but these people are disgusting monsters. I work at a video game retailer and the amount of elderly people we have come in buying Steam cards to send to someone "they know" is heart breaking. I watched an elderly woman break down in tears while she was in the store when we were able to prove to her that she was being scammed. I broke down too but we were able to save her from spending any further money. They go after elderly people who don't understand what the cards are or the ones who just lost someone and are lonely. They are legit MONSTERS.
That's just one example. I have dozens.
Appreciate the effort Kitboga takes to enunciate and speak like an elderly person. These characters are so realistic.

Perhaps so. But for each good guy, doing this, the time spent, is that many less innocent, often elderly, people getting scammed. A pox on all the evil scammers.

What I like so much about this guy is he handles the scammers so wholesomely. He lets them frustrate themselves by portraying an exaggerated version of the type of person they’re preying upon, essentially holding up a mirror to their ways that lets them teach themselves their own lesson gently but oh so effectively. Whoever this guy is I imagine he’s a genuine person who cares about the well-being of our seniors and other vulnerable people

It was hilarious listening to my grandfather ask them how they got arrested while sitting on his couch in the time it took him to walk 10 feet. _"My grandson is in my living room right now, you dumb sonuvabitch!"_
