the answer of the question 'what he has done is far from...' should be satisfaction, the question is right, maybe you forgot that 'satisfactory' is an adj, it's a grammar question. We can only put a noun behind 'from', at least i think xdd

No, you're wrong. The phrase "X is far from (adjective)" is extremely common. For example "this is far from ideal, but it's the best we've got". I'm a native English speaker btw and I'm 100% sure about this. The correct answer to the question is "satisfactory" as fulinfang said. "Satisfaction" is incorrect.
