Wish they made animated movies like this again: Beautiful music, storylines, beautiful hand painted and hand drawn animation. Not the crappy flops they've been putting out for over a decade.
My favorite Disney movie, and one of my favorite movies of all time. No matter how many times I see it, I’m still awestruck by it’s beauty and wonder. It’s truly magical. To me, this is what true animation is all about.
Huge thanks to Disney Animation for all the enlightenment and fulfillment it has brought to my life. Not only promising and prominent in the personal growth aspect. But it is also lavishly redefining my viewpoint of the world of where I am living in today.
Fun fact: despite it being the closest we'll ever get to a PERFECT Disney movie, it actually bombed at the box office when it first released due to world war 2, but after the war, the box office improved IMMEDIATELY after with the rereleases and was praised by critics and audiences, especially since day 1
About 8:22, I was told that the reason it occurred to Stromboli to give that washer to Pinocchio is because Stromboli was being cruel-Stromboli had made a lot of money from Pinocchio and he gave Pinocchio a washer, he was a cruel, cruel man! If Stromboli was a good man, he wouldn't have thought "Wait a minute! There's no reason to be angry here-This is something I can give Pinocchio instead of money!"
In my opinion animation will always be better than live action due to one advantage that being unlimited freedom with live action you have many limitations but in animation there are no limitations anything your mind can think you can draw and what you can draw with the right amount of talent effort and time what you can draw can be turned into animation.
Dickie Jones might have liked the live-action remake of Pinocchio. Tom Hanks has certainly emulated a lot of Walt Disney’s success. Tom Hanks grew up watching Walt Disney on The Wonderful World of Disney television show and he is proud to have made films for The Walt Disney Company. Dickie Jones was glad that Pinocchio has entertained so many generations of audiences and that the story has lasted a lifetime.
Robert Zemeckis who directed The Back to the Future trilogy directed the live action remake of Pinocchio. He even flew to Italy and England to direct the movie. I guess that Robert Zemeckis can’t win them all!
There’s something about the music to Pinocchio that makes it so Tchaikovsky-esque that no one ever does anymore. I feel like John Williams does mention some of the melodic richness in some of his works like: Home Alone, Harry Potter, E.T. and Hook. I love music like that. It may sound contemporary but I just miss the kind of music that multiplies the kind of splendor, if that’s how I can describe it? Disney, back in the 30s to the 50s, does something Mickey Mousing the visual abounds in driving the story narratively. I miss that. Pinocchio truly was a magnificent score. I would’ve loved it if Alan Silvestri paid tribute to that and did his own rendition of “Little Wooden Head” but they went to a different direction with it which made me upset that they didn’t include it. I didn’t like anything about the Bob Zemeckis-Alan Silvestri collaborated remake of Pinocchio at all, but Guillermo Del Toro almost seems to do it better and Alexandre Desplat and his score, I consider it to be almost close to the 1940 score but mostly done in the style of Gershwin and Cole Porter. These are my favorite things to study and because I love music in all different eras, classical music is truly something I identify the most. That’s something what Walt Disney can relate to and that’s what I relate to.

There was also a crazy incident that happened st the premiere. Something about Pinochio performers getting drunk and going nuts.

I can imagine if Dickie Jones, the voice of Pinocchio, were still alive, he’d have HATED the live action remake from last year.

This is my favorite Disney film ever and I can’t tell you how disappointed I truly was lol

Agreed
@@filmsforallnationsI think the factor may have been how to deal with the films issues in today's world.
I can only hope nobody who worked on this masterpiece lived to see the reprehensible live-action remake.
don't worry about it
