Hey dude! Quick question! How many miles does the bike have and what maintenence do you usually do? Btw any other comments and/or recommendations are welcome since im getting a ‘18 model next week lol. Thanks!

What’s up dude! The bike has around 50-55 hours on it, I got it with about 40. In terms of maintenance, I try to change the oil and filter after every ride but definitely after every race. These things only hold about a quart of oil so the oil gets dark after very little time. I am about to do the valves in a few weeks to prepare for next season (video incoming). I love the WR I genuinely think they’re one of the better bikes for the price. One comment I have is that with any sort of oversized bar pad or hand guards, it is going to be very hard to see the computer with the hour meter, speedometer, check engine light, gas light, etc. I am going to try to fabricate a bracket to bring the location of the computer higher towards the rider, perhaps I’ll make a video of that.
Overall, it’s a great bike. You’ll love it!

@@TheMadMonkey3that’s awesome! Glad you like it, WRs are awesome bikes. I’ll definitely be making more soon!! I think the first will be a well overdue valve adjustment.

So that doohickey is just a fuel level monitor? Where does the coupler plug in? Is it okay to leave unplugged and taped off?

It connects to a wire in the front of the wiring harness. You might be able to just tape it off but I would definitely reccomend connecting it since it will signal that gas light when you are low. Is there a reason you don’t want to use yours?

@@jpsgarage I had to get a new harness because the previous owners did some dodgy shit to it. My acerbis tank didn't have one of these but I am putting the stock tank back on. I have all the ends of the harness taped up tightly and just don't feel like digging through it. Thanks for the reply!

@@AlanHendrickshmm maybe they sent you the wrong tank? I don’t think that the motocross bikes have the level sensor because I’m pretty sure they do not have the gas lights.

@@jpsgarage it was the stock tank for sure, the yz250fx does in fact have a gas light and I found out it is just a fuel level gauge.

Unfortunately had to sell it before I went back to college for my senior year along with my Timberwolf. Wish I could’ve finished that thing but life happened. Just got back into dirt bikes recently
