You are a genius! Thank you for sharing this with us. So real. Perfectly imperfect, just like linen. I love how resourceful you are and love your space. It's huge, especially compared to mine. When I finally get my actual sewing space, I will refer to this video for ideas. Also, if you need to get rid of scraps, I will gladly buy them from you.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The space really does feel big, and the place I'm moving to will be a bit smaller so I am already thinking about what I'm going to have to downsize again. I'm sure even more sewing room "hacks" will come out of that process too! I truly have an insane amount of scraps and have been considering selling them-- I will keep you posted for sure!

So refreshing to see a work space that's NOT perfect, but that works! Thanks for the tour. Also, love the kitty action in the background.

Exactly! Glad it was fun to watch-- haha and the kitties we being WILD, I'm lucky I was able to make it through filming with the tornado of action happening behind me!

Leah, you are adorable and I think it's great that you shared this. It will inspire many and keeping it real and vulnerable helps draw people to you more. I loved your suggestions, especially the cord thing. I was surprised to see many things that I have in my sewing space and it's janky :) I have the L shaped desk for both sewing machine and serger (looking for another swivel chair at the moment). I have that craft table but need the pad and I also may get that elecric rotary cutter. I have the hanging rack with patterns too. I was overwhelmed with all my fabric (mostly linen) so I bought an 8 cube thingie and bought bins (both on Amazon I think) to store fabric. I think clear cubes would be better but I know where everything is. Best of luck in Philly but sorry you're leaving the Burgh

I think your sewing space is great. Printers are best placed close to your computer or die cutting machine if you can find the space. I like your ideas of putting cords up overhead. I feel like I am forever tripping over mine. In terms of fabric management, I remember someone reminding people that the quality of fabric changes over time so if you have a lot of old fabric, just donate it to a thrift store. you can always buy more of what you need, want, like. I inherited a bunch of fabric from my MIL who was a quilter as am I, but much of it went to the give away for someone else to find a use for. Organizing fabric is challenge! I love what you do and your ethics behind it.

It's really functional. Decorate is not important .what is important is to work and have happy clients.. I'm in France and my sewing space is not glamourous and not really functional cause I use a lot of heavy tapestry fabric and it take a lot of space . The electric scissor is a really good idea and yeah your workspace is nice
