I don't see the potential for a 51% attack because if you consider other blockchains one person/entity could have multiple (virtual) devices to achieve the 51% share required. However, with Pi each user has to undergo KYC verification and therefore each individual can only have one wallet. Considering that nodes also are linked to the wallet (at least currently the node app requires you to enter a code from your Pi app) I don't see the option for one person/entity to achieve anything close to 51%.
Currently Pi has no real value and every number you can find somewhere is pure speculation. We'll only be able to estimate the value once we know the actual amount of Pi coins in circulation and that's only possible once phase 3 is reached and coins from unverified accounts get removed. Other than that I completely agree, all the small things add up. That's why I'm for example, also run ruclips.net/video/a-JFJE4mbm0/видео.html on my PC in the background for another $150 per year for doing nothing.

All of a sudden I cannot access Pi and it says error with their system and yet I am still receiving notifications from Pi's chat forum. If I cannot or not allowed to access Pi online then I can confirm this is a pure scam. Why? Because I don't see any reason why I would be blocked and cannot access my profile and coins I mined. I provided them accurate personal information and they haven't conducted a KYC on me....

Well, it for sure will take some time until Pi coin is going to be worth anything, but considering that it's no effort to mine it, it's worth it IMHO. In the end, it was the same with Bitcoin, if you mined it during the first two years you only needed a crapy computer and could make a lot of BTC before it became popular. Currently Pi is in phase 2 out of 3. It's not so much actual "mining" that's happening but simply the distribution of coins among active members to grow the user base to 100,000,000 users. I recommend that you read minepi.com/white-paper as it should answer all questions that may arise.

What do you mean by 24 hr notification? Just open the app and press the "lightning bolt" and it will either start your next mining session or show you how long your current session still lasts.

You can only run the app once on your device AND (which I learned only after publishing this video) you are only allowed to register one account. (Which I added as notes in the description and the first comment as well). If you already set up a second account on another device then simply delete the app from your second device.
Yes, because the app isn't really mining on your phone but simply crediting you with pre-mined coins for every 24 hour period that you press the button. So you can even quit the app after pressing the button. The only thing you can't do is log out as that would interrupt your current "mining" session.
Nah dran... geboren in Österreich, hab aber auch vier Jahre in Karlsruhe verbracht, und im Endeffekt machts keinen riesen Unterschied. Meiner Meinung nach wird PI früher oder später gehandelt werden können. Der tatsächliche Wert je Coin lässt sich nicht wirklich abschätzen und kann irgendwo zwischen 0,001€ und paar € liegen, je nach Beliebtheit und Anwendungsmöglichkeiten. Gibt aber auch die kleine Chance, dass der Coin nie gehandelt werden kann und damit wertlos ist. In jedem Fall, lohnt es sich aber die 5 Sekunden täglich zu investieren um das Mining für weitere 24 Stunden zu aktivieren, da man abgesehen von paar € an Stromrechnung nichts zu verlieren hat und nur gewinnen kann. Sobald PI gehandelt werden kann, kann man sich dann überlegen ob man die Coins weitere behalten möchte und auf einen Wertzuwachs spekuliert oder lieber direkt auscasht. Im übrigen, ist PI recht neu, aktuell etwas über 7,000,000 Nutzer und laut Whitepaper wird das "Mining" weitergehen bis 100,000,000 Nutzer erreicht werden. You can either link your Facebook account or use your phone number. When you are using your phone number you'll have to send a text message to a US or UK number to verify your identity, so all countries are supported as long as you are able to send SMS to US/UK numbers.

No, they receive a small referral bonus but you are mining for yourself. Also, you need to use someone's code because you can't sign up without it. And you should use the code of the person that first introduced you to Pi Network.

If they just sign up but never press the button to mine you don't receive more coins.

I don't think so. Nowadays it's not that much of a stretch. That said, a lot changed since I published this video in August. Pi Network crossed 8 million users a few weeks ago and during the first Pi Coinventions users proposed to stop mining once 10 million users signed up. There has been no decision so far, but it's possible that the free mining will end around January considering the current growth rate. No, your mining speed only increases while the users you invited are also active. If they stop mining you also lose the bonus. For now Pi is about growing its user base, that's why currently signing up and pressing that button every 24 hours is all you need to do.
Once Pi reaches 100 million users the mining phase ends, and by then there should be enough users to create supply and demand for the coin itself.

If you name is correct just let the countdown expire. This is only for new users to give them time to fix any typos and make sure that the name in the app matched the name on their goverment issued ID.

When you say " mining " . Like what do you mean by that. What's the process. What does the app use to actually do the mining.
"mining" in projects like Pi Network, Bee Network, TimeStope, AiBox, and so on... isn't mining like you'd know it from BitCoin but what actually happens is every day you push the button in the app you start a session and simply get pre-allocated or pre-mined coins creditet to your account. If you'd like to know more about how and why it is like this then I recommend that you take a look at minepi.com/white-paper and the parts regarding the Stellar Consensus Protocol used by Pi Network.

If you log in with the same Facebook account or phone number again then yes BUT your current mining session may not finish in that case.

You can only run the app once on your device AND (which I learned only after publishing this video) you are only allowed to register one account. (Which I added as notes in the description and the first comment as well).
If you already set up a second account on another device then simply delete the app from your second device.
can you run the mining in the background?
Yes, because the app isn't really mining on your phone but simply crediting you with pre-mined coins for every 24 hour period that you press the button.
So you can even quit the app after pressing the button. The only thing you can't do is log out as that would interrupt your current "mining" session.

Nah dran... geboren in Österreich, hab aber auch vier Jahre in Karlsruhe verbracht, und im Endeffekt machts keinen riesen Unterschied.
Meiner Meinung nach wird PI früher oder später gehandelt werden können.
Der tatsächliche Wert je Coin lässt sich nicht wirklich abschätzen und kann irgendwo zwischen 0,001€ und paar € liegen, je nach Beliebtheit und Anwendungsmöglichkeiten.
Gibt aber auch die kleine Chance, dass der Coin nie gehandelt werden kann und damit wertlos ist.
In jedem Fall, lohnt es sich aber die 5 Sekunden täglich zu investieren um das Mining für weitere 24 Stunden zu aktivieren, da man abgesehen von paar € an Stromrechnung nichts zu verlieren hat und nur gewinnen kann.
Sobald PI gehandelt werden kann, kann man sich dann überlegen ob man die Coins weitere behalten möchte und auf einen Wertzuwachs spekuliert oder lieber direkt auscasht.
Im übrigen, ist PI recht neu, aktuell etwas über 7,000,000 Nutzer und laut Whitepaper wird das "Mining" weitergehen bis 100,000,000 Nutzer erreicht werden. Heist man ist noch unter den ersten 10% die auf den Zug aufspringen und kann daher noch deutlich mehr coins minen also jene die sich später anmelden.
Die PI App fällt übrigens im Batterieverbrauch nicht wirklich auf, und das Ganze ist äusserst fair, da die Hardware des Handys keinen Einfluss auf die Miningrate hat.

Do not create multiple Pi accounts even if you have multiple mobile devices. The rule is 1 Pi Account, 1 Mobile Device, 1 Person. Doing so, will have that Pioneer have all their Pi on all their accounts burned come Phase 3.

You may be surprised how many people don't bother to read the white-paper.
Also, I'm quite sure that I'm also answering the question if Pi is legit, somewhere around where I mention that it can't be a scam because you don't have to invest anything, for example,... the only thing that remains to be seen is if/how much Pi is going to be worth once it can actually be traded, and that depends on a lot of different factors.

You can either link your Facebook account or use your phone number. When you are using your phone number you'll have to send a text message to a US or UK number to verify your identity, so all countries are supported as long as you are able to send SMS to US/UK numbers.

When you click on your current Pi/hour mining rate you can see a detailed breakdown that explains why your current rate is 0.12
Don't forget when you invite peolpe your mining rate only increases while they are also mining. If they just sign up but never press the button to mine you don't receive more coins.

I don't think so. Nowadays it's not that much of a stretch. That said, a lot changed since I published this video in August.
Pi Network crossed 8 million users a few weeks ago and during the first Pi Coinventions users proposed to stop mining once 10 million users signed up. There has been no decision so far, but it's possible that the free mining will end around January considering the current growth rate.
And while I could discuss the pro's and con's with a lot of people my main arguments for Pi Network still are:
1. it's a solid idea developed by people that have experience and IMHO has a decent chance to succeed and be worth something in the future
2. what do you have to lose besides 5 seconds of your time per day

You can't sign up without an invitation code, so if you did not enter one, then you clicked on an invitation link that already contains the invitation code. Just check your chatrooms and you should see a "NICKNAME Earning Team Chat" which is the earning team chat of the person that invited you.

No, your mining speed only increases while the users you invited are also active. If they stop mining you also lose the bonus.
If you used my invitation code you can also add me to your security circle.
Otherwise, you can add everyone that you invited + existing Pi users.
But existing Pi users only if they signed up with their phone number and not Facebook AND you have the phone number they used for the sign up in the contacts of your phone.
On number verification it says "only numbers from US and CANADA " does this mean it's a worst of time to use this platform if you're from else where?????
