In this episode Brian and Joe had the privilege of connecting with the amazing Danielle Moffitt. Director of Operations for Stotan Group, Educator and Supporter of People, Wife and Mother.
Danielle shares with us a number of insights, lessons and learnings from her life as a strong, capable, resilient, courageous and intelligent Woman.
Married for more than 26yrs to a man who has served for more than 30yrs in the Australian Defence Force, most of that time spent serving in the Australian Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) - it's safe to say that there is much we can learn from this incredible Woman, Educator, Wife and Mother.
Danielle openly discusses many important topics during this conversation and does so with class, humility and humour.
Listen in as she shares the funny story about how her and her husband met, her upbringing, challenges faced as a Wife of an SAS operator, raising children (mostly on her own), living within their means, the uncertainty faced with every deployment, boundaries set as a protection and guide, having a third thing, working on yourself and your relationship, claiming space, her husbands idea of a good date lol - Plus so much more...
Thank you Danielle for being so open with us and sharing a small glimpse into your life and that of your wonderful family.

Ka pai Joe and Brian for bringing another insight to these podcasts. Joe, your summary of Danielle at the end was on point and poor old Harry, Henry and the school kids. This lady has a brilliant memory, can recall and has file boxes full of evidence I bet 😎. But what really stands out for me and I have greatest admiration for Danielle is for her recognition of social injustices for indigenous populations or those disadvantaged. She acknowledged that she came from a privileged positioned, not by money, but how society is structured to disadvantage these groups. Because of this, Danielle is able demonstrate empathy and this was evident and what a fantastic trait to have as a teacher. It was a great watch and she connected easily with her 'kia ora' to set the tone. Did I hear correctly that Harry did another selection when he returned from UK?

Kia Ora Steve, Grateful for your comments and support bro. Spot on with Danielle - such a lovely Woman. Wahine Toa for sure. Re: Harry, no he didn't need to do another selection. He just needed to do some parts of the Cycle again which meant he was on my cycle for part of it. It was great having him there while he needed to. It was more for him just to brush up on a few things due to being out of the game for a stint - didn't take him bugger all, then he was back into an operational squadron and powered on for another 15/16years at the pointy end. Appreciate you brother.
