Thanks for sharing. It is good to see prints that are not developed turn into works in their own right. Sometimes the ones you don't think will work as well turn out to be the best!
So beautiful! I love eco dying and printing and would like to do more of it myself. My challenge is finding the leaves for it. I don't have a flower garden. I have actually bought flowers for it.
Hi Mary! I have too especially in the winters here. Our grocery store will often put the old ones on clearance sale and I have printed and taken plaster casts of them . Hope you have fun with these :)
Shari, do you prefer to work with oil paints when doing monoprinting? What do you feel about acrylics in it? Looks like with oil, here’s more wiggle room for how fast you have to put things in place for the pull. ?
Hi SuzQ yes ! there is days worth of wiggle room before it dries :) I don’t really use acrylic because I want to be able to finish them with encaustic :)
Hi Susan thank you. My gel plate printing is just as messy as seen in a lot of the other wax on Wednesdays videos and in the workshops because I only use oils and never acrylic so that I can finish them with encaustic . It’s the good fun kind of messy at least :) lol
As the summer winds down in the northeast US this is exactly what I did today...leaf picking. Now I know what I will do. Love this.
Have fun Lorraine!
Beautiful! This reminds me of Dan Tirels work with a acrylics and trash bags.

Fascinating. I intend to try this technique with my cold wax abstract. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Wronda have fun !
This looks like so much fun. Do you know of it would work out as nicely with acrylic paint?
Hi Laurin , I don't work a lot with acrylic because it doesn't play well with encaustic so I am not really sure. It would be fun to try !
Hi Shari- thanks for sharing the video. I'm surprised you didn't give a nod to Dan Triels as he's known for this method of printmaking.
Thanks Michelle I will look that up

Love the direct flower prints Have you discovered Dan Tirels... his work is amazing 😉
Check out Dan Tirels. I’ll stick to my GelliArts plates for better results, less mess.
