The original BH is by far the best series of chess anything. I can't wait for Building Habits for Classical: Rule 1 just think really hard about every move forehead
This is absolutely instructional, entertaining and hilarious! "Less than 10 seconds, pick a piece and pre-move a billion times! Don't be a hero and try to checkmate him" Pure gold.
This is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen lmao, As a 1930 chesscom bullet player I might not get much out of the 0-600 habits section (looking forward to seeing if you do a 2000+ bullet habits series later?) but it was hilarious watching Aman get mated a few times and following through with the habits despite being a GM. Much respect for that level of dedication, it must actually be really hard to play moves that get you mated...like you are throwing for content I guess and to make a point that habits don't work in rare situations and I appreciate you showing those games too, really realistic series, the most hilarious part was the premoves at 6-7 seconds. I would get crushed if I tried that at my current rating pool but it sometimes works if the opponent is really low on time and isn't good at premoves at 1800/1900+ too, so I can relate to some parts a bit lol, anyhow, GG!!!!
The Habits series is THE BEST intro for beginners, bar none. I started watching at 1200 and improved to 1400 because I stopped making so many crazy moves and focused more on the basics. I'm so happy to see a series for bullet, I can't wait to try and get better at this time control.
This is so exciting! Your first Building Habits series was what taught me how to approach chess, and what I recommend to everyone else who's looking to learn. Thanks so much, and I hope that a full version gets posted to the EXTRAS channel just like the last one.
I love that you're sticking to your rules, even if it means loosing a game or two. Even at low elo. I've seen to many "teaching games" where the coach goes full GM because "the other guy just plays too well". Going full GM is not yet an option for me - what does he expect me to do ?!
Interesting, I really got a lot of valuable advice from building habits. I dont play bullet as i still am trying to just get better playing 10min rapid but ill watch this regardless.
fuck this video makes me crack up. honestly aman is one of my favourite content creators. his energy is just so sublime happy and wholesome and chill. what a man
I love the building habits series, in fact I just started watching the original series again recently. Very excited for this one! Thanks so much for doing this.
Aman I LOVE that you incorporate losing into your Habits runs. It's funny, but also seriously speaking losing is part of chess and part of learning. Everyone should incorporate losing into educational content imho.
Just gotta make the next premove as soon as you see that your last premove went through - just like on lichess. Obv sometimes not quite as effective though
This is what I needed! The engine says I play like a 2000+ when I play slow, but I'm stuck at the bottom of the barrel in bullet (hit 160 yesterday after a loss, didn't even know that was possible)
Anthoine the Legend. The 600 elo guy who beat an GM known for his speed by flagging him. An has one of the most offensive avatars without getting baned. Lol
Those habits are so good. I've just implemented them since I am so bad playing Bullet and I've already won all 4 games I've played after watching this. I'll stick to it and see how far I can go with it after losing all my rating, I mean legit, I lost so many games on time, I lost every bit of rating from 700+. Time to gain my rating back.
Every game he's down 20 or 30 seconds and I'm thinking he's definitely going to flag, the opponent is moving fast, they'll premove too when he starts to. And no, they get slower as they get low on time and even just stop moving for several seconds... Amazing
Just watched this video then I played 13 straight bullet games. I won 12 of them but now I have the feeling that my brain is fried and I unlearned chess entirely
I only play on the mobile app. It only allows you one pre-move, and it always costs 0.1 sec; so I find it difficult to win using this method, if I am down by a lot of time. Suggestions?
Coming out at the right time, just after I tanked my bullet ELO the other day. I was only 1300 but still hurts falling down to like 1100 ish. That's what I get for only playing 5min the last few months. Sure it doesn't help that I play with my trackpad instead of a mouse
Isnt the average rapid player rating like 950 or something? Its been a few years since I looked. I remember the bell curve was widest between 800-1200. And with blitz and bullet the average rating only gets lower for each respectively. So would 1300 bullet not be considered very high? Nice humble-brag + no mouse excuse combo 😂
@NowhereMan7 You have to remember that most people don't put any time into chess. 1300 is really the baseline for someone spending a bit of time thinking about the game. Hell, I'm 1600 blitz and rapid but I still don't know any theory outside of some basic London (thank you Aman) and Sicilian dragon (courtesy of Naroditsky) lines.
First time watching a building habits video, how come he's playing like an absolute rookie, I thought he had to follow a certain set of rules, does he also have to play according to the rating?
Yes, Aman tries to follow his habits rules and usually doesn't use any tactics or combinations until ~1000 ELO iirc. Makes sense because obviously a GM can flatten 99% of players and there's very little educational value in that.
Hope you enjoyed the first episode and get to practice some bullet! New episode every Wednesday.
Thank you 🙏
thanks for doing this bud :)
This is hysterical. Love it!
No tactics. Lol
When you see mate, try to flag them lol
The original BH is by far the best series of chess anything.
I can't wait for Building Habits for Classical:
Rule 1 just think really hard about every move forehead
ooh that'd be awesome. DO THIS AFTER THE BULLET AMAN!
Dude lost elo 400 lol
This is absolutely instructional, entertaining and hilarious!
"Less than 10 seconds, pick a piece and pre-move a billion times! Don't be a hero and try to checkmate him"
Pure gold.
The thing I love most about the building habits series is the explanation of every move and the repetition.
No one cares
@@lezamac6literally everyone cares
@@lezamac6Don't call yourself a no one, you matter to me ❤
Building Habits along with Danyas Speed Runs are by far my favorite content for chess improvement. Super entertaining
I wholeheartedly agree
Quality content
Could never understand how to win in bullet. Watched the video and won 14/19 after watching. Can’t wait for the rest in this series .
Watched 14 minutes, got motivated to play bullet for the first time… won 5 games in a row!
I won 6 games while listening to the first few games. I'm already a regular bullet player, but it was still nice
Word

This is a real video, somebody doing this strategy as a LESSON. Honestly gold, keep up the quality chess content:P
fuck this video makes me crack up. honestly aman is one of my favourite content creators. his energy is just so sublime happy and wholesome and chill. what a man
I love the building habits series, in fact I just started watching the original series again recently. Very excited for this one! Thanks so much for doing this.
Omg new Habits series! This is amazing! Absolutely loved the previous one. Thanks Aman.
The scary thing is, premoving during the last 5 seconds still works at the 1200 level
I watched this previously in the VOD channel. I'm still excited to follow this series all the way through!
Aman I LOVE that you incorporate losing into your Habits runs. It's funny, but also seriously speaking losing is part of chess and part of learning. Everyone should incorporate losing into educational content imho.
The funniest educational series is back. Aman really shines in these.
hope to see you here every episode!
Honestly though, you could do a building habits part II and people would eat that shit up
just watched the vods of these, i couldn't find the 800-1000 vod, so looking forward to it!
Wow aman in bullet intentionally not using tactics and not not even trying is about as good as my classical play
pretending like you're not seeing things has got to be one of the funniest things on the channel 😂
Really excited for this !!!!
I'm sure you know this, but you can't string pre-moves on mobile. That's a huge weapon gone from the arsenal.
Just gotta make the next premove as soon as you see that your last premove went through - just like on lichess. Obv sometimes not quite as effective though
You can't play bullet past a certain ELO (~1300) on your phone. Has to be a PC with a mouse or you're going to get flagged nearly every game.
@@tuulymusic3856 That's incredibly impressive. What's your rapid/blitz rating? I have to assume it's well above your bullet.
Something changed and now I can't even premove two times on mobile. Just once now 😢
I was just rewatching the old Habits vods to review the opening suggestions and just for fun. Such a pleasant surprise 😃👍
33:06 he knows what he did lmao (White to play, mate in 2)
This was a phenomenal Idea for a series. I can picture the future, Ultra Bullet habits . . . Chess is getting insane
Im on the buss home from work trying not to laugh. This is too funny 😂
Wooow I love this. Bullet habbits! Amazing Aman, keep this coming! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is what I needed! The engine says I play like a 2000+ when I play slow, but I'm stuck at the bottom of the barrel in bullet (hit 160 yesterday after a loss, didn't even know that was possible)
Aman : loses game 1
Aman game 2 : « How can you possibly lose games !! » 😂
Antoine guy really got banned 😂
You should make a bullet speedrun where you aren't allowed to checkmate your opponent -- only flagging.
Am I crazy, or did the latest arena kings video disappear from the channel?
Great series. Fyi, I believe the mobile app only allows for 1premove, so this strategy would be a lot harder on mobile.
Anthoine the Legend. The 600 elo guy who beat an GM known for his speed by flagging him. An has one of the most offensive avatars without getting baned. Lol
Aman is such a great teacher and entertainer!
Never thought in my life that chess can be that fxking funny...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you! I'm glad someone finally did this!🎉
Glad I could help!

i've never died of laughter from chess content in my life... until now
Bro those first few games were hilarious 😂
The premoves at the end are hilarious.
The game against rvphy was the funniest game I've ever seen haha
Just watched this video then I played 13 straight bullet games. I won 12 of them but now I have the feeling that my brain is fried and I unlearned chess entirely
THIS IS WHAT WAS NEEDED!!! SPEEDBRAH❤
What happened to Eric's arena kings video?
I only play on the mobile app. It only allows you one pre-move, and it always costs 0.1 sec; so I find it difficult to win using this method, if I am down by a lot of time. Suggestions?
OMG, my favorite brah with new habits! What a day!
That flagging sequence from 40:17 had me dying
Whats the tune playing at 23.30?
does the board look kinda blurry/low quality or am i tripping?
Wow...new Habits Series❤❤❤❤
Losing the first game of a habit series is tight.😂
Can’t wait for the next
FINALLY! I'VE WAITED FOR SO LONG 😭
that draw game is hilarious
The perfect series doesn’t exi…
Wow BIG bullet habits release
"don't try to checkmate him" ...first time I've ever heard that in a chess lesson.
This was unbearable. I loved it.

Did the first opponent get banned?
Yep
I don't play bullet, but still instructional and the tips help with a time scramble regardless
I played one game, won, and I'm suddenly 1200 at Bullet. This really is that easy.
Upload the full video on the extra channel
Ah yes. Rating 0-600. Finally, a chess video made specifically for me
i love aman playing like a 500
Aman got so chilled that he lost to 400-500 three times.
You have convinced me to watch you play bullet, not to play bullet.
Ahahah I lose my shit everytime Aman does the paid actor while getting checkmated.
Man should run for US president
Destroying racists and learning habits. I love it.
HAMBO!
Thankyou so much

I wonder if Aman is really successfully deactivating his brain for these or if he still sees every tactic while being forced to play habits moves.
Here we go!!!
every wednesday :)
my bullet rating is higher than my daily rating after these tips
I need more boulets
The flags are crazy lol
Hilarious video i laughed so much
Yes thank you
that avatar XDDD. I can't believe people are so bold
Jax really got relentlessly slandered for no reason
youtube sends me notifications on all sort of crap but WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD OF THIS SINCE 2 MONTHS
16:02 instructions unclear. I made a bunch of premoves with my king, my opponent took it and I was unable to move another piece
Any tips for a 230 elo player? Asking for a friend
This is just how to flag someone 101
What is the point tho?
It helps if you have a few seconds left in a longer game.
Lost the first game 😂
staying true to building habits :)
Lost a game but gained some good habits that will make you win many more. I think that's a pretty good tradeoff.
I am amazed that Aman can play bullet and take the time to comment!
We are so back
on lichess you cannot premove more than one :-(
I went from an 1100 to a 1400 in 2 days just bc of this video im not even joking
ah yes, NPC chess
loses to a 400, goes to get him banned for a bad avatar. Brah... :D
