The perpetual Transmission is moving cool and the marble pump is just ugly, no matter If it's running smoothly or not.
I lost brain cells watching this video. Two of them weren’t even perpetual motion machines and the one that was cannot work because it doesn’t make sense.

Кроме жизни. Если мы соберём двигатель из живых частей и они будут заживать быстрее, чем изнашиваются, двигатель будет вечным. Человек и есть вечный двигатель. Мы пока что только растём как вид и только производим всё больше и больше. Трение нас только раззадоривает. =)

Everyone here complaining about perpetual motion, but forgetting that the marble pump was awesome. Also, I'm fair certain the guy is not claiming to have made a perpetual motion machine. Pretty sure that's just the name of the sculpture, that's it.
He has an older video where he claims that he has the theories necessary for perpetual motion energy generators, and that oil companies are in on a conspiracy to block those patents / hide information about them. Maybe he's knocked that off by now.
Pseudo-perpetual motion machines are really cool, but they're not much more than art pieces.

It is really not that imposible to make a perpeptual machine in space a wheel can rotate in forever if left untouched, 100% = 100% if you take 50% then it will lose 50%.

A perpetual machine needs to return 100% of the energy it uses.
Due to forces like friction (which will turn some of the energy into heat), it's impossible.

@Smiley Junior They meant in space where there is no friction or air resistance. Therefore, there is such thing as a perpeptual motion machine if you put force in it in space. There is no exterior force to stop it, not even gravity so it could work. In fact, we actually have something called light force or something, because light is actually able to input force, opposite to where it is pointed. If you were to shine a flashlight in space, you would slowly but surely drift back. Therefore, we have satellites that travel so fast, because it deflects the light of the sun, and it moves because of the force, and because there is no exterior resistance, it accumulates over time, and now it is the fastest object ever created by man.

1. Gravity has an effect everywhere, it's an "infinite" force, but it weakens the further it goes (never reaching 0), and dust still floats in space.
2. Internal forces still exist, a wheel spinning on a stick will have friction when touching the stick.
3. The thing with light happens with other forces as well, because there's nothing to hold you (like a planet), you will move in the direction opposite of the energy you put. If you shoot a gun, both you and the bullet will move into opposite directions in quite the speed.
4. Satellites have solar panels to get energy from the sun, they don't use light to move, they use the earth's natural rotation and gravitational pull (like the moon).
I think the Marble Machine is very neat🙂

@@ВасилийСигаев Вообще вечный двигатель невозможен не в смысле вечное движение, а в смысле двигатель с КПД больше 100%. Вся проблема в терминологии. Вечное движение это вечный аккумулятор энергии, а не двигатель.

I'm going to try building a large scale version of that perpetual motion wheel and hook it up to a low torque motor to see if it can continually provide power to charge batteries for a converter. Worth a shot.

The first machine could be useful if a few of them were combined with swings in a kids play park and connected to some kind of generator.
The poor kids would have to swing very strong to stay in motion. ;)

Perpetual motion is technically possible. You just need to remove all resistance, including gravity and air resistance. Which means you can't harvest energy from the motion, as a load creates resistance.

I paraphtase the first law to be: The amount of energy in an isolated system is constant.
Constant kinetic energy above 0 would indicate perpetual motion. A wheel isolated from resistance of any kind would spin perpetually.
It would spin perpetually for lack of friction as planets do, but its not a perpetual motion machine. It doesn't create the energy to run itself.

@@mysticwine the planets don't orbit or rotate forever. They lose small amounts of energy due to the gravitational attraction of their star, it just takes a very very long time.
@J Cheehy, quantum mechanics introduces a amount of randomness to every particle. While an entirely isolated wheel in an area void of all air or gravity would spin for an exceptionally long time, the random motion of quantum particles would eventually rob the wheel of it's rotational energy and it would stop spinning.
Also, all particles are bouncing around, even in solid objects. That slight vibrating of the particles generates tiny amounts of heat and friction. Again, this steals rotational energy and the wheel eventually stops.
